Sub-Contracts Specialist

POSITION RESPONSIBILITY:

 Drafting of standard forms of Sub-contract agreements, Supply Agreements and Design Consultancy Agreements, after reviewing the Main Contract Agreement to ensure compliance with the Main Contract Obligations
 Drafting the special conditions of Sub-Contracts, Supply Agreements and Design Consultancy Agreements, including liaison with Project Managers to assure compliance with the Project requirements.
 Establishment and implementation of procedures for the commercial administration of Sub-Contracts.
 Monitoring of Sub-Contractors progress by value to identify implications to main contract programme.
 Identification, notification and evaluation of events giving rise to extensions of time.
 Advise on the appointment of site staff for the commercial administration of the project including quantity surveyors, etc, with responsibility for the activities of same
 Reviewing of Sub-Contract tenders, supply quotations including negotiation of prices and recommendation of awards.
 Review and certification of Sub-Contractors, Suppliers and Consultants application for payment
 Evaluation and Settlement of Sub-Contract final accounts including negotiation of variations and claims
 Report on all contractual and financial matters encountered on the project.
 Review of Sub-contractor payment certification.
 Notification of the costs of variations from Subcontractors.
 Advise of potential “claim” situations.
 Assist on drafting responses to subcontractor correspondence of a financial or contractual nature.

General

 Provide active supervision and technical support for assisting finance & accounting personnel.
 Provide a positive example for all Company staff.
 Assist in the development and maintenance of Company systems.
 Other duties as directed.
