DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervising, instructing and guiding the Senior Registrars, Registrars, and Residents in the Pediatric Ward, and Pediatric Emergency Service.
Clinical examination and Follow-up of Pediatric patients in the Outpatient and Inpatient section
Revising the clinical history, reports, and Laboratory and Radiology results with the Pediatric Senior Registrars, Registrars, or Residents.
Interpreting Clinical data to come into a conclusion of the patient’s medical condition.
Discussing the disease outcomes and suggested treatments with patients and their parents/caregivers.
Supervising the condition of patients, and altering and reassessing treatments as necessary.
Conducting relevant research works, and publishing it in ranked Local and/or International medical journals.
Referring the patient to a medical specialty as and when require
Directing and coordinating activities of nurses, medical trainees, Senior Registrars, Registrars, Residents, therapists and other clinical staff member
Designing, implementing, and administering health programs and routines for hospitals, societies and general communitie
Rendering services to other physicians when neede
Share actively in patient & family education in collaboration with all related other healthcare givers.
Comply with the standards laid down by the Central Board for Accreditation of Healthcare Institutions (CBAHI) and Joint Commission International Accreditation Standards (JCIA), performs the duties necessary to support and achieve accreditation.
Perform other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the realm of his/her knowledge, skills and abilities.
Through the chain of command and/or occurrence variance report, identifies any occurrence not consistent with the operation of the hospital or standard of service for patients, employees or visitors and situations that put patients, staff or visitors at risk for injury or other harm.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education & Licensure:
Saudi Board, Arab Board or equivalent degree recognized by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS).
Maintains a valid Saudi Commission for Health Specialties license as Consultant.
BLS & PALS is a must.
Professional Experience:
Minimum of three (3) years’ experience practicing as Consultant for a new contract as Consultant.
Minimum of five (5) years’ experience working as Senior Registrar for any promotion to Consultant post.
SPECIALISED KNOWLEDGE:
Must be emotionally stable and in good physical health.
Working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint Presentations, Outlook and Word.
6.3 Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Ability to speak and write clearly and concisely in both Arabic and English.
