Senior Chemist
Quality Control Department comprising three state-of-the-art laboratories is responsible for providing round-the-clock analysis support to all Plants
· Candidate should have related experience to any of the following plants:
o Refinery, Monomer: CDU, VDU, ECR, HOFCC, MEG, POx, Naphtha, Aromatics, MTBE, Metathesis, MMA, Cumene & Phenol
o Polymer: PP, PE, HDPE, PMMA, TPO, LDPE, Nylon-6 & EPR
Duties and Responsibilites
1. Lead and supervises assigned personnel to manage day to day lab activities and special samples analysis.
2. Provides expert technical advice to investigate and resolve analysis related problems.
3. Ensures analyses are carried out in accordance with internationally accepted/established test methods, result are accurate and properly interpreted.
4. Prepares technical reports on studies carried out in the Laboratory.
5. Ensures facilities and equipment are maintained in accordance with all relevant procedures and standards.
6. Supports Section Head in preparation of capital expenditure, operating expenditure budgets, KPI’s, departmental business plan etc. based on laboratory objectives and to ensure smooth running of
laboratory.
7. Technical evaluation for the procurement of new Lab equipment, planning of spares and consumables.
المهارات
Education
1. Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
2. Minimum 15 years’ experience in Polymer industry Lab to support analysis requirements in plants such as LDPE, PMMA, EPR, Nylon-6.
3. Excellent leadership, problem solving & decision making skills and can support Chemists as reference to New Technologies and current Best Practices available worldwide.
4. Experienced and involved in the Start-up and Commissioning of new Laboratory.
