The Company:
Our client is an engineering, construction and operation & maintenance company which has the experience and capability for undertaking all aspects of the project life cycle including providing the following services: Engineering, Procurement, Construction Management, Construction & Refurbishing, Operation & Maintenance, Facility Management and Training. They are currently seeking a Project Manager based in their office in Khobar.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Under the supervision of the Director of Capital Projects, coordinates the design, planning and bidding of MEP and Fire Protection system repairs, upgrades and replacements with outside engineers as well as works with the City of University Heights for compliance with applicable building codes, energy codes, fire codes, and City requirements.
Monitor and manage project budgets and schedules by communicating with design team, contractors, Director of Capital Projects and Associate VP of Facilities and Auxiliary Services. Negotiate and resolve issues to ensure projects meet requirements and objectives.
Monitor MEP/Fire Protection system replacements during the construction or renovation process to ensure the project meets JCU specifications, O&M;standards and the needs of the community.
Maintains mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) equipment inventory and works with Director of Physical Plant to update and make recommendations on MEP, Fire Protection and campus infrastructure deferred maintenace and capital renewal needs. Provides information for campus FCI calculations.
Identifies and priortizes MEP capital renewal projects. Coordinates large scale replacement and repairs of MEP systems on campus, whether performed with in-house staff or outside contractors.
Advise and support the Maintenance Foremen in emergency and planned maintenance repairs on large scale equipment and electrical projects.
Work with the Associate VP of Facilities and Auxiliary Services to support campus sustainability efforts. Make recommendations on energy reduction strategies and efficiency initiatives.
Experience & Qualifications:
15 years minimum experience.
Excellent command of English language
Excellent presentation and negotiation skills
