الوصف الوظيفي
1. Establishes schemes, criteria and plans of approach to be used in the preparation of the electrical design of assigned projects.
2. Performs electrical design work on assigned projects.
3. Manages and checks the electrical design work prepared by subordinate engineers and designers on assigned projects.
4. Checks electrical drawings prepared for assigned projects.
5. Consults with the lead engineers and subordinate engineers of other disciplines for proper coordination of assigned projects.
6. Perform estimation (LOD) for new Project Proposed by the Client (BDSP, PP & DD, as applicable).
7. Prepare project deliverables such as design plans, calculations and studies, material specifications and requisitions.
8. Assure all electrical work is in full compliance with project scope and applicable national and international standards.
9. Coordinate electrical work with different engineering disciplines and achieve design quality and compatibility.
10. Direct engineers, designers, and draftsmen on design requirements and drawings development.
11. Evaluate and approve vendors bids and non-material requisitions (NMRs).
12. Train less experience engineers and college students.
13. Plan oil and gas plants visits and validate electrical system topology, spare capacity, and outdoor installations.
14. Study, analyze, and synthesize electrical power system problems and prompt solutions using ETAP software.
15.Support electrical department colleagues with design ideas and problem solving schemes.
16. Attend clients and internal meetings.
المهارات
Key Qualities:
- Extensive detail design experience in LSTK and reimbursable projects is a must
- Conceptual and FEED design experience is important
- Experience in General services projects is plus
-Experience in Oil/Gas/Pipelines/Infrastructure projects is a must.
- Expert in LV and MV electrical engineering systems, power studies, DC power systems, electrical equipment and switch gear systems, substations, power generation, power distribution, electrical systems integrity assessment, cathode protection design, etc.
- Knowledge of Electrical design software; ETAP, etc
- Full knowledge of Electrical international standards and design codes
Special Expertise
1. Experience in supervising Electrical design activities in multiple concurrent projects
2. Previous work experience in Middle East projects is plus
Experience:
1. BS Degree in Electrical engineering with minimum 20 years relevant design experience
2. Registered as professional engineer with a recognized organization is plus
Software Skills
Windows, MS Access, Word, Excel, Powepoint, Visio, PM+, Outlook, ETAP
- ETAP experience is a must
- Knowledge of SmartPlant Electrical 2D and 3D is advantage
