Food Service Inspector الوصف الوظيفي -Candidates should be experienced in Facilities Management. -Experience in Oil & Gas / Petrochemical / Refinery shall not be considered. -Experience in Multi-National companies & multi-cultural environment preferred. -Location Yanbu Scope of Work - To assist with planning and monitoring contractual operational requirements and ensuring food safety requirements are met within all KAUST food service outlets. - To assist and support the food services management team in ensuring that all aspects of the day-to-day operational matters and service provider compliance is met and service delivered as per contract success criteria and ensure consistency and uniformity in delivering effective, efficient service assurance procedures and assist in producing appropriate records, reports, financial and statistical information. - Monitor the daily services, communication and processes that support the core business of KAUST through a Service Provider (SP) - Assist the Senior Food Services Inspector with the daily monitoring of the provided services, quality performance in relation to Contracts and SLAs - Conduct audits and inspections, assist in formulating reports and analyze data on a daily basis and deliver this in the form of a report - Conduct random unannounced inspections of all food outlets under KAUST. - Use of the CMO or similar reporting System as appropriate - Plan daily, weekly and monthly audits/inspections for all Food Services outlets, to include review of SPs process and procedure compliance with their SOPs - Monitor banqueting and events, including booking process and delivery; to ensure food safety and contractual requirement are being met - Observe, identify and report performance failures including unavailabilitys & non-compliance incidents relating to the Senior Food Services Inspector - Log all customer complaints with the Helpdesk and update the KAUST Food Services complaint register and conduct investigation as required - Provide assistance with planning internal KAUST events that involve Food Services and monitoring special events that include external vendors - Support and develop the service providers in meeting their KAUST deliverables including planning of School menus - Raise Problem Resolution Reports (PRRs) and Recommendations for Improvements (RFIs) as required - Raise Safety Violations and Work Stoppages reports for any catering or HSE issues. - Monitor and review all service providers weekly reports prior to transferring the details to the Food Services monthly data sheet - Ensure that all menus are constantly updated, paying special attention to seasonal availability and nutritional values - Develop innovation and consistent quality with the service providers - Ensure that all staff are constantly trained to HACCP standards and other associated legislation - Ensure that all areas under food services satisfy the most stringent hygiene requirements through audit and action planning - Ensure that all staff are correctly dressed to satisfy requirements as well as enhancing the image of the organization - Ensure that all stocks are ordered to meet Food Safety Acts and SASO standards - Ensure that all stocks are kept securely and under the correct conditions applicable to each type of commodity - Regularly hold maintenance checks to ensure that no equipment breaks down - Ensure that all statutory notices are posted at all relevant points and that such notices are visibly placed - Ensure all menus on the website are published in a timely manner to the community - Provide support to Food and Retail Services management office - Monitor process of customer complaint investigation, remedial and closure - Ensure SP understands what the rules of the business are and what the consequences are if those rules are not followed - Advise the Head, Food Services on potential compliance violations in food safety and damage limitation scenario for present & future occurrences - Assist in solving problems using logic to identify key facts, explore alternatives and propose quality solutions at minimum cost - Coordinate and run meeting with the service providers and the food services management team to discuss and prioritize open issues confronted on sites and distribute updated information - Encourage and maintain productive, effective communication and working relationships with all parties involved in the project - Ensure compliance through education, advice and enforcement - Take enforcement action, initiate penalty proceedings, prepare and give evidence in relation to payment mechanism - Ensure that all menus are constantly updated, paying special attention to seasonal availability and nutritional values. - Develop innovation and consistent quality with Service Provider - Ensure that all staff are correctly dressed to satisfy statutory requirements as well as enhancing the image of KAUST - Ensure all menus on the website are published in a timely manner to the community - Monitor standards of workplace health and safety to create a safer environment for workers and customers - Advice service providers on developing and implementing health & Safety, Food Safety & Environmental policies - Review all service providers policies and procedures - Monitor process of customer complaint investigation, remedial and closure - Observe and report compliance violators, so individuals can be assessed in terms of training needs and development - Advise Senior Inspector on potential compliance violations in food safety and damage limitation scenario for present & future occurrences - Maintain productive, effective communication and working relationships with all parties involved in the project - Ensure compliance through education, advice and enforcement Competencies - Must have a flexible approach to work and be able to work as part of a team - Strong English language ability, both spoken and written - Must be confident in using computers, tablets and software applications, including Microsoft Office - Self-motivated being required at times to work with minimal supervision - Strong customer service focus - Strong supervisory, leadership skills - Excellent organizational and problem solving skills - Excellent communication skills (oral and written) - Excellent customers relationship skills - Proficiency in Microsoft office is required - Knowledge of food service management related systems - Ability to deal with people in a manner which shows professionalism, sensitivity, tact and efficiency - Professional and smart appearance at all times Qualifications - Diploma or equivalent in Hospitability Management.
