The Biosafety Cabinet Technician (BCT) is a competent professional that manages and provides technical expertise for Biosafety Cabinets.

To maintain and repair Biosafety Cabinets (BSCs), to decontaminate BSCs by fumigation when required, and to annually certify either EN 12469 or NSF 49.

The BCT ensures that all records are maintained on BSC maintenance and certification program in accordance with policies.

The BCT assists LEM Leadership in advising on Biosafety Cabinets.

The BCT coordinates the annual calibration of all the equipment used in the certification process.

The BCT identifies and manages parts for local stock.

The BCT is expected to maintain proficiency and to remain skilled in the art of BSC certification.

Strong English communications skill both verbal and written.

Computer skills with Microsoft office products and Field Service software such as SAP, Loc8 or equivalent.

Ability to generate pristine and meticulous records.

Minimum 3 years proven and verifiable experience in BSC maintenance and certification

Minimum 300 certifications performed.
