Duties:
1. Analyses the tender documents and scope of work given by the client, prepares a project scope summary, highlighting the work to be subcontracted and forwards to the Senior Manager (Estimation & Proposal) for his review.
2. Coordinates with the Supply Chain Management department to obtain quotation and technical specification from suppliers, vendors etc.
3. Prepares project cost estimates in terms of the required material as per bill of quantities (BOQ), amount of work, material/ equipment/ and manpower requirements during the tendering phase;
4. Calculates and updates costs associated with the original contract works and monitors all variations to contract on an “as we proceed” basis during the pre-tender stage
5. Coordinates with the concerned Project Manager/ Engineers to estimate the required technical requirements, and required manpower for the project scope and verifies with the Senior Manager (Estimation & Proposal)
6. Collects all the final prices, prepares the final “Bill of quantity” (BOQ) of the project, and sends it to the Senior Manager (Estimation & Proposal) for review and further action.
7. Modifies the BOQ as per the Senior Manager (Estimation & Proposal) comments, prepares the final BOQ and proposal, and forwards it to the department head to complete the pricing process
8. Responds to the client’s queries and the technical clarification that may arise after submission, and sends it back to the client in consultation with the Senior Manager (Estimation & Proposal).
9. Sends the final estimation documents, budgets and final BOQ to the Senior Manager (Estimation & Proposal), after the project has been awarded.
Education:
Bachelor degree in Engineering
Relevant Experience :
Minimum of 3-4 years in a relevant industrial field and position (estimation-related).
