Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform his/her duties and tasks as per Hospital Policy and Agreement on Professional Code of Conduct
Actively participates in all quality and performance improvement activities within the department/ services and within the hospital as per Quality Improvement and Patient Safety Plan
Actively participate in all the education requirement and activities as per the Hospital Education Program
Performs other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the scope of practice and employment contract.
Provides expertise, leadership and oversight to FMS operations to ensure compliance with applicable international, federal, state and/or company environmental, safety and health regulations.
Ensure that rigorous risk assessment and accident management are in place to identify hazards and to ensure that appropriate control measures are in place.
Have the authority to take action when hazardous conditions or potential hazardous conditions exist.
Enforce policies and plans to establish a culture of health and safety.
Review performance indicators to objectively measure the effectiveness of the facility management and safety plans.
Review annual evaluations of all the FMS Plans.
Review the summary of the hazards and problems identified during environmental rounds, and summary reports of incidents trends and patterns.
Reports significant information to the Hospital Director on matters and concerns related to safety of the hospital in all perspective.
Liaises with other departments to determine hazards related to things e.g. unsafe acts and condition, toxic, and electrical hazards.
Manage accident investigations; ensures proper accident investigation procedures are followed; review and approve of accidents involving fire and safety.
Supervise the mock drill activities and evaluate its effectiveness.

Ability to carry out assigned projects with minimal supervision.
Familiar with JCI and CBAHI standards.
Knowledge of Hospital Facility Management and Safety

Degree Safety Engineering, or safety and occupational Engineering or related
