Analyze thermal heat loss for single, double or heat traced pipes using FEA and hand calc. as per ASTM C680.
Perform piping design calculations (sizing, hydraulic losses, wall thickness, HVAC load, support span, etc.)
Analyze piping stress as per ASME codes (using CAESAR II/Autopipe) and prepare technical reports.
Check leak for flanges and nozzle loads for equipment.
Deep exposure to piping stress analysis (aboveground and underground).
Design and select supports, hangers and line stops. Size expansion loops/elements.
Design and size thrust blocks, buried concrete anchors blocks and welded anchor plates.
Calculate stresses from soil, traffic and overburden settlement load on buried pipe as per ALA.
Setup and maintained CADWorx database (catalogue/spec/Iconfig) to fit Project specifications.
Modeling and spooling of piping systems using CADWorx and considering shop and field constrains.
Account for material specification, quantity takeoffs, estimates.
Issue isometrics for individual spools and overall pipelines for fabrication and erection.
Prepare fabrication detailed drawing for pre-insulated spools and piping miscellaneous accessories.
Prepare leak detection diagram and MTO of sensor cables, jumpers, pull ports and accessories.
Fully capable of creating any engineering calculation tool as needed in line with specific references and industry standard.

5+ years or work experience.
Bachelor’s degree in BSC Mechanical Engineering.
