An exercise equipment repair technician performs routine maintenance on fitness equipment at the gym or in people’s homes. You diagnose issues related to exercise equipment like treadmills, perform services, and assemble machines back into working order. Your responsibilities include providing exceptional customer service and preparing the necessary paperwork for billing. You document any repairs you perform and communicate all repairs with management. Other duties include assisting gym personnel and filling in on other gym duties as needed. Repair technicians typically work in large institutions like gyms, hospitals, colleges, and apartment complexes.
