Duties and Responsibilities:
• Installing network cabling and other network equipment like routers, switches and access points.
• Installing workstations and other equipment like printers.
• Installing desktop operating systems and programs.
• Connecting all workstations to the network and relevant servers.
• Troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
• Repairing or replacing damaged hardware.
• Installing servers, server operating systems and relevant server programs.
• Monitoring and testing networks to ensure that they are running optimally.
• Configuring routers and switches.
• Monitoring servers to ensure that they are running optimally.
• Monitoring server backups to ensure that these take place regularly and correctly.
• Providing staff with technical support and training.
• Responding to staff requests.
• Providing support to users and being the first point of contact for error reporting.
• Establishing good relationships with all departments and colleagues.
• Conducting daily backup operations.
• Performing troubleshooting to isolate problems.
Job Requirement’s:
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in computer science or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in computer networks and systems maintenance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Good problem-solving skills.
