The Tornado Flying Analyst Developer is responsible to the Director of Aircrew Training for sound and comprehensive analysis of all training and readiness data associated with RSAF Aircrew.
The Tornado Flying Analyst Developer will be responsible for:
• Providing advice on matters relating to RSAF Aircraft operations and training.
• Tracking and evaluating current and historic Aircrew readiness and training data.
• Performing analysis of statistical data to identify adverse trends and the corrective actions required on all RSAF aircraft types (includes Fighter, Trainer, Transport, ISR, Tanker, and Helicopter operations). Use creative and innovative thinking to devise and/or evaluate methods for the solution of problems.
• Forecasting future flying training requirements based on current status, regulatory guidance, and projected strategic and operational changes.
• Updating and maintaining the existing computer programs in the Section.
• Providing RSAF with effective advice on all matters relating to flying training.
• Establishing and maintaining a close and effective working relationship with RSAF HQ Aircrew Training Directorate.
• Establishing and maintaining an effective working relationship with RSAF HQ staff across all Directorates.
• Establishing and maintaining an effective working relationship with USMTM, MODSAP, and BAE Systems staff involved with Aircrew training.
• Briefing and presenting reports to the RSAF with the aim of implementing practical, progressive and effective operations and Aircrew training for the RSAF.
• Monitoring RSAF operations and Aircrew training programmes to determine changes that will affect the RSAF.
• Assisting with staffing of all correspondence and policy papers relating to aircraft operations and Aircrew training matters.
FUNCTIONAL KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED (qualifications/experience):
• At least two years of experience as a fast jet Instructor Aircrew or equivalent (knowledge based) role working within the RSAF.
• First-hand experience in and all-around knowledge of military aircraft training and operational roles. This should include weapons capabilities, simulator operations, and training requirements.
• At least ten years of experience in military aircraft operations and training environments.
• A good knowledge of military, air operational procedures, strategies, and tactics; preferably gained from military experience.
• A good knowledge of military training processes, preferable gained from practical experience from more than one phase of aircrew training.
• An ability to communicate effectively with RSAF officers up to Major General Officer level.
• Two to three years staff management experience, ideally in a multi-functional environment.
SPECIALIST SKILLS REQUIRED :
• In-depth knowledge and experience with the delivery of operational and Aircrew training associated with a modern fast jet platform.
• Sound judgment based on considerable experience and expertise to be able to provide relevant and effective advice and feedback that is consistent with the RSAF overall aims and objectives.
