DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 
4.1 Define application software functional requirements and perform needs analysis. 

4.2 Conduct system, and database design, quality assurance, testing and implementation of Application Software. 

4.3 Assess and analyze application software change requests and devise solutions. 

4.4 Execute application software implementation plans and manage project teams. 

4.5 As per the ITC Department’s documentation standards prepare Technical documentation and User Manuals for the application software.  4.6 Conduct application software usability audit. 

4.7 Inspire co-workers to attain goals & pursue excellence and develop subordinates through their performance monitoring (Evaluation) and guidance.  4.8 Represent the IT department in Hospital committees and Task Force.  4.9 Prepare evaluation papers for Senior Programmers and Programmers. 

4.10 Answer, respond to all calls (ex.  Bleeps) and attendsupport calls after working hours and on weekends during emergencies.

Comply with the Hospital Policy and Procedures and ensure that the hospital standard and rules are met (ex. Human Resource P&P;, Safety P&P;, etc).

Comply with the standards laid down by the Central Board for Accreditation of Healthcare Institutions (CBAHI) and Joint Commission International Accreditation Standards (JCIA), performs the duties necessary to support and achieve accreditation.
4.13 Through the chain of command and/or “Occurrence Variance Report”, log any incident not consistent with the operation of the hospital or standards of service for patients, employees or visitors and situations, which put patients, staff, or visitors at risk of injury or other harm

4.14 Perform other applicable tasks and duties within the realm of his/her knowledge, skills and abilities.

EDUCATION/ LICENSURE: 
5.1.  Bachelor degree in Computer and Information Science or Healthcare Informatics from any accredited university/college.  6.0 PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:  6.1 Minimum of at least three (3) years practical experience in software engineering with healthcare applications including programming experience in Dot Net Applications and systems analysis and design.  7.0 SPECIALISED KNOWLEDGE:  7.1 Knowledge of open systems environments.  7.2 Experience in Healthcare Informatics.  7.3 Good verbal and written command of both English & Arabic language and Human communication skills.
