• Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice warehouse vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performance
• Strategically manage warehouse with a clear understanding of the company’s policies and vision and how the warehouse contributes to these.
• Strive continuously for the overall warehouse and inventory monitoring systems, processes and practices taking into account ‘international best practice’, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement.
• Use space and mechanical handling equipment efficiently while making sure quality, budgetary targets and environmental objectives are met.
• Oversee receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
• Comply with local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
• Produce reports and statistics on a daily, weekly and monthly basis including (IN/OUT status report, fast/slow moving items, dead stock, utilization report, etc.) and plan for future capacity requirements.
• Safeguard warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
• Analyses the inventory variances per cycle count and provides immediate solution to significantly reduce the variance.
• Maintain physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
• Achieve financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
• Complete warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
• Maintain warehouse staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
• Provide a safe working environment, adhering to Health, Safety and Environmental procedures and ensuring they are understood and practiced by the team at all times
• Develop and maintain metrics/KPIs, reports, process documentation, customer service logs and training and safety records .
• Ensure that all lifting and maneuvering of product is carried out in accordance with manual handling procedures
• Create policies and procedures for warehouse activities and ensure all systems meet the standards for accreditation in line with the quality systems
• Perform any other job-related duties as assigned by higher management
المهارات
• Bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting, or closely related field. (Essential)
• Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) / logistic certification preferred. (Desirable)
• Seven to ten years of professional experience in a relevant position performing warehouse management activities. (Essential).
• Extensive warehouse management experience in a steel fabrication corporation or contracting company. (Desirable)
