Drilling Solutions Engineering Manager – Saudi
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Related Technical Degree
12 Years Relevant Oilfield Experience
General Overview
Advanced level support for Drilling Solutions Engineering group to include Sales/Operations Technical Support, Service Quality, Product Development and Training.
Primary Responsibilities:
Manage field testing of new products/ cutters and help implementation of design improvements.
Manage and coordinate the field test product development program for the Area.
Manage EMS /ECR process for the Area.
Create new opportunities for RH bit technology
Manage different bit projects to ensure a quality service is delivered to customers.
Develop a testing program for cutter development in the area
Manage all Drilling Solutions Engineering resources for the Area and mentor trainees as related to area and product technical function.
Manage monitoring of product performance and report trends to product center through periodic reporting or on a case-by-case basis as necessary.
Annually review Drilling Solutions Engineers in Area
Structure the career plan for all Drilling Solutions Engineers and recommend promotion where appropriate.
Manage and coordinate the gathering of competitor’s product performance data for the Area.
Manage and coordinate the complaint report process (iTrax Reports ) for the Area.
Manage and coordinate the assembly of case histories, performance summaries, and outstanding run reports for internal and external use for the Area.
Promote the technical image of NOV in the local area through membership in industry groups, technical papers and local publications and presentations.
Provide technical applications support to sales through customer visits and presentations.
Monitor and supervise Core Competencies for DSE team [DSE I/DSE II/DSEIII]
Provide technical training presentations on RH products internally
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Position will require travel
Working hours to be identified by manager
Non-standard work hours, 24/7 contact/availability expectations for rig/operational support
Comply with Global and Local QHSE policies.
