GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTIONS: All Engineers shall have respective Engineering Degree with a minimum 7 – 10 years of Engineering Design experience from Conceptual Front End Engineering Design to Detailed Engineering related to Oil & Gas, Refineries & Petrochemical Industries and shall be conversant with the application and verification of relevant International Codes and Standards and capable of working on all project activities found in such Industries. They shall also provide Procurement & Construction Management support. All Engineers should have Engineering Design Consultancy Experience. Shall have very good inter-personal and effective communication skills. 1) CIVIL & STRUCTURAL DESIGN ENGINEERS Shall be experience in Industrial & Community Infrastructure Development, site development / preparation design, grading, paving, road works (plan & profile), utility piping, storm water / drainage system involving revamping, process plant offsite piping systems, expansion and grass-root projects and be familiar with current industry work process and engineering software applications such as Land Desktop, Civil 3D & Bentley In-Roads. Shall be experience in both reinforced concrete and steel structures. Should have thorough knowledge of industry standard software applications, including STAAD.Pro, have experience with Intergraph PDS, and Smart Plant Applications, and AVEVA PDMS, and be familiar with current industry work process. 2) ELECTRICAL DESIGN ENGINEERS a) Conversant with International codes and standards. Candidates should have experience within the Process Plant, Oil & Gas, and Petro-chemical Industries, and will have been exposed to all electrical engineering activities and work process found in this sector, including the preparation of; b) Shall be capable of independently handling all electrical activities of Detail Design engineering of Oil & Petrochemical projects. Shall be able to prepare Electrical One Line Diagrams, Protection & Metering Diagrams, Equipment, Power, Lighting, Grounding Layouts, Elementary / Interlock Diagrams, Electrical Area Classification maps, Cable schedules, Electrical calculation / Relay setting Calculations etc. Shall be able review Detail Design Drawings / documents from other consultants and vendor information. Shall be able to coordinate with other disciplines and participate in discussions with clients. Hands on experience on ETAP. 3) INSTRUMENTATION DESIGN ENGINEERS Shall have exposure to all instrument engineering activities and work processes found in this sector, including the preparation of; • Technical specifications and project instructions 4) MECHANICAL – PIPING ENGINEER Shall have exposure to Process in plant piping engineering activities and work processes found in this sector and will be responsible for the following: Proposal Stage: Evaluate incoming RFQ’s for Piping scope of work and quantify manhour requirements and any special technical requirements to complete the job FEED / Project Proposal: Articulate overall Project Piping requirements as defined by Process Engineering through PFD’s, P&ID;’s and Basis of Design Documents Search for and retrieve existing relevant client drawings, develop Piping portion of the Project drawing control Revise existing Plot Plans to incorporate Piping installation or coordinate with Facilities Planner to develop “Grassroots” Layout Receive from Process Engineering, process generated Piping requirements such as Line Designation Table, Piping MAOP, Design Pressure & Temperature, Special Pipe Material considerations, Pipe sizing, Pipe Slope requirements, etc. Complete Piping related calculations such as wall thickness, corrosion allowance etc. Complete Piping Plot plans, Bulk MTO’s – Piping Complete Scope of Work Description- FEED / Project Proposal Complete Discipline / Squad Check – QA/QC level Support Procurement Effort for DCPR’s and material sourcing Detailed Design Articulate overall Project Piping requirements as defined by Project Proposal / FEED drawings and documents through PFD’s, P&ID;’s and Piping Plot plans Search for and retrieve existing relevant client drawings and process revision numbers or apply for new drawing numbers. Develop Piping portion of the Detailed Project drawing control. Finalize Plot Plans Receive from Process Engineering, final process generated Piping requirements such as final PFD’s, P&ID;’s, Line Designation Table, Piping MAOP’s, Design Pressure & Temperature, Special Pipe Material considerations, Pipe sizing, Pipe Slope requirements, process related special installation requirements, etc. Complete Piping related calculations such as wall thickness, corrosion allowance, pipe stress, etc Complete Piping Isometric Drawings, Hydrostatic Drawings, Construction Scope of Work Description Post Design Project Support Review NMR drawings of equipment for piping interface. 5) PROCESS DESIGN ENGINEERS Shall have exposure to all process engineering activities and work processes found in this sector, including the preparation of; • Technical specifications and project instructions Conversant with industry standard software applications, including AspenTech Process Evaluator, KBase, and Hysis, including Intergraph SmartPlant applications. |
