Mechanical Repair Technician - Rig Aftermarket

Job Description and Requirements
JOB PURPOSE:

Responsible for complete in shop assembly, inspection, refurbishment, reassembly and testing of NOV branded capital drilling equipment.

Description:

Maintenance Actions:

- Responsible for complete in shop assembly, inspection, refurbishment, reassembly and testing of NOV branded capital drilling equipment.

Hydraulic / Pneumatic systems (Pumps, motors, rams, etc.)
Mechanical systems (gearbox, fittings, bearing, etc.)
Capital drilling equipment includes tip drives, mud pumps,
roughnecks, pipe racking systems and draw work systems.

Properly document repair procedures in accordance with local policies.
Ensure accurate use and inventory of repair parts.

General:

- Any other day to day tasks as may be required

Quality Assurance:

- Carrying out all duties in accordance with the quality assurance procedures / departmental works instructions.

Safety, Sanitation, Security, Housekeeping:

- Maintain a clean, neat and orderly work area.
Assist in maintaining the security of the company.
Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety.
Comply with OHS standards.
Obey all speed limits.
Wear all safety equipment (PPE).
Report all deviations and defects to supervisor.
Dispose all waste correctly and on a continuous basis.
Adhere to all safety instructions regarding clear walkways and obstructions.

QUALIFICATIONS: Qualified Artisan — Mechanical, hydraulics

EXPERIENCE: One years’ experience with hydraulic / mechanical systems

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES: Maintenance fundamentals; Minimum basic knowledge of workshop activities – like fitting works, tooling, knowledge to read mechanical assembly drawings, schematic diagrams etc…
