Role: Associate Director
Location: Qatar
Overview: Lead our work in the MESA Region
Job description: Lead our work in MESA including developing and implementing the strategic vision for work in the Region, including budget, personnel and country focusses; and contribute to the overall leadership of Delivery Associates as part of the Executive Leadership Team.
General duties and responsibilities:
Set and implement a strategic vision for the Middle East region, in partnership with other ADs
Set and manage the annual P&L;for the Middle East region, in partnership with other ADs
Contribute to decisions on the overall strategic vision of Delivery Associates, overseen by the board
Successfully identify new business opportunities and convert them into wins
Build a sustainable pipeline of talent in the region through active coaching of teams
Contribute and lead to impact on projects through the teams they lead
Line and performance management for employees in the region
Report on the progress of the region to the CEO and Executive Leadership Team

Use data and other evidence to make arguments and solve problems – an analytical thinker, able to commission and interpret a wide range of statistical analyses and translate technical information to a lay audience;
Design and write high quality presentations and reports – produces clear, concise and compelling narratives through a combination of expert prose, use of data, graphics and exceptional engaging storytelling; able to coach others in producing high quality work;
Think logically to sequence and plan delivery of government strategy with pace, optimism and urgency;
Facilitate and communicate effectively – can lead interactive workshops with stakeholders and deliver high quality training sessions to groups of trainees;
Navigate and achieve change in the public sector – has knowledge or experience of operating in a political environment and driving reforms through public-sector decision-making processes such as budget setting, legislating, and procurement.

المهارات
Experience and qualifications:
10-17 years of experience working in public sector consulting, government, development banks, and/or public policy
Experience managing development funds is highly desirable, but not necessary (e.g., Global Fund, GFF, IFAD, etc.)
Knowledge of specific policy fields, such as agriculture, climate, health, or economic diversification is highly desirable
Proven track record of influencing senior stakeholders in various public sector settings, particularly in GCC countries
Deep capacity-building and training skills with experience in creating and offering products and learning programs to public sector partners in GCC
Arabic and English fluency is necessary; fluency is French is preferred, but not necessary
