This role will combine data, analytics, and application architect skills with strong business knowledge to solve business problems by understanding, preparing, and analyzing data to understand opportunities for technology adoption within the client’s application portfolio and provides recommendations to optimize business results.
The Pre-Sales Coloud Architect shall:
Work with business leaders to solve business problems through the adoption of technology, building an IT Modernization Roadmap to the future
The role will work on pre-sales, solution, and project assignments to design, deliver and assure technical solutions. Develop solutions by understanding, preparing, and analyzing data to understand opportunities for technology adoption within the client’s application portfolio and provides recommendations to optimize business results
Utilize consulting assets to collect application portfolio data and create insights to define transformation paths for their application portfolio. The methods used will continuously update the data on the application portfolio as well as the client priorities and strategies used in the modeling used to create the IT Modernization Roadmap.
Analyse and assess existing client application portfolios; shape and deliver appropriate modernization pattern-based solutions including the creation of client modernization roadmaps
Strong analytical skills and an ability to define and articulate the precise nature of any given situation appropriately to the target audience whether technical or non-technical. Modernize enterprise business applications to use Containers, Container Orchestration Platforms, Micro-Services, and DevOps
Understand the technical risks associated with each aspect of the service and/or project and ensure these are mitigated in the design
Liaise with 3rd Party suppliers and other partners when and where required to meet customer requirements.
Capture requirements from multiple stakeholders (business, IT support areas, legal) and interact with other cross-functional teams to provide migration strategy: architect, design, develop, test, and release planning

Create a monthly/quarterly written local/regional sales report to be supplied to the Chief Commercial Officer that summarizes the sales activities, upcoming opportunities and key projects captured during the quarter
Establish and manage regional sales budget
Be responsible for monthly sales forecasts
Assist with proposal writing
Maintain communications with clients to ensure the clients expectations are being met, relay results and additional requirements to the appropriate operations manager
Manage sales opportunities electronic data base. Update all client contacts and client related information in master contacts system

Experience in public, private, and hybrid cloud solutions (IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS)
Experience in the migration of infrastructure, data, and applications out of the legacy datacentres to the cloud and hybrid environments
Good understanding of Virtualization technologies such as VMware vSphere, Redhat KVM and Oracle KVM
Good understanding of hardware technologies such as Hyper-converged and converged infrastructure technologies, Storage technologies and backup technologies
Fully understand standard architecture methodologies, processes, and best practices
Demonstrate experience in portfolio analysis and discovery using tools to drive the needed analysis
Proven track record in developing and advising clients on Application Modernization roadmaps
Experience in evaluating application portfolios using data and analytics
Experience in delivering Application Modernization using Public Cloud Technologies; DevOps, Integration, Containerization and Container Management, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker Enterprise and Cloud Foundry
Knowledge of Agile practices and governance
Experience in cloud architecture planning, estimation, application migration and cloud governance
Modelling cloud infrastructure (Azure VNets, NSGs, App Gateways, Backend pools, Certificate Management)
Foundational knowledge of Identity Life Cycle Management, Runtime enforcement (e.g., APIs), Privileged Access Management, Identity federation (e.g., SAML), Conditional Access policies (Azure AD) with experience in administering B2B and B2C applications
Must have a strong understanding of Azure Architected Frameworks in cloud production environments and understand how to use that knowledge to drive the customer’s application/infrastructure workload migration to the cloud. Develop cloud native strategies and solutions for client requirements, leveraging platforms and methodologies such as PaaS/Agile/DevOps etc.
Experience with digital transformation technical domains
Experience in database migration and modernization; Data Transformation
Experience in producing end-to-end Cloud based solution designs, putting together technologies from multiple IT areas including mobile devices; packaged and bespoke applications; infrastructure tooling and ITIL-based processes.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or IT equivalent degree
8+ years practical hands-on experience, with minimum 5 years as Cloud Architect
Certification in Cloud Platforms (Microsoft Azure architecture, Oracle OCI Architecture) is a preferred
Must have a detailed and analytical approach with hands-on experience and strong organizational skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills as well as written/oral communications skills are essential
A bilingual (English/ Arabic) Architect is preferred
