الوصف الوظيفي Today, we deliver hundreds of millions of food orders, grocery items and other products per year, to our customers in nine countries throughout the region with more than 3,000+ employees! Our food delivery business works with over 27,000 brands and almost 50,000 branches, while our q-commerce concept, talabat mart, now delivers groceries to customers in Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Oman Qatar, and the UAE in 30 minutes or less! Our #techforgood program allows our customers a safe and convenient way to contribute to important causes in their community through donating to local and international charities directly on talabat with a focus on food insecurity in the region. Since its inception in 2020, we have facilitated the donation of well over 1 million meals to those in need, as well as donated over $1.5 million to charity with the help of our partners and customers. talabat is part of Delivery Hero, the global leader in online food delivery and q-commerce. As a talabat Manager for Public Affairs, you will participate in all government-related collaboration. Moreover, you will be responsible for engaging the conversation on policy advocacy, key regulatory, and policy solutions that will benefit talabat and the wider ecosystem. What’s On Your Plate? Identify, monitor, analyze and report on current and future regulatory issues in the Qatar market. Gather intelligence and reports on legislative and regulatory agendas. Articulate our policy positions in briefing papers, consultation responses and internal policy meetings, as well as memos, and position papers when needed. Cross-functionally works with internal stakeholders such as communications, legal and the broader policy teams. Advise internal colleagues and teams on public policy matters to help guide the development of products, services and policies. Gather global best practices and benchmarks, and create a log for key visions and governmental plans in the region. Create talking points and material for the management team on policy-related topics. Represent the company in government meetings and policy discussions. What Did We Order? Bachelor’s degree in Law, Public Policy or related field. 3-5 years of experience in the policy field. Deep knowledge of The Middle East’s policy environment. Superb English and Arabic verbal and written communications skills. Ability to work in a matrix environment and collaborate cross-functionally while being accountable to public policy matters. Proven track record in policy partnership/campaign building. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
