International SOS is currently recruiting for nurses to work offshore in Qatar and would very much like to hear from nurses who work in Qatar and are holders of the required QHCP license.

(NB: If currently employed in Qatar, in order that your application can be considered, you would need to be confident in obtaining the necessary NOC letter from your employer)

The Offshore Nurse is the sole provider of primary and emergency health care services to an expatriate workforce and oversees all aspects of clinical medical management within the clinic, including medical evacuation Support. In addition, is responsible to position International SOS as the principal health care provider in the offshore community.

Core activities are Medical Emergency Preparedness and Response, Medical care, Management of Offshore Clinic, and Site inspection. In addition, the Offshore Nurse supports the following: Occupational Health programs, Public Health programs, management of work-related injury and illness, Industrial Hygiene, D&A;, and any other health programs that might be relevant.

Criteria to apply:

Minimum of 3 years current nursing experience
Experience to include offshore and/or ER
Hold a valid license to practice or medical registration from the country of origin
Hold a valid offshore certification such as BOSIET/FOET which is OPITO approved (only applies to nurses currently working offshore)
Hold a valid ACLS certification (or be prepared to obtain it at your own cost)
Hold a valid ITLS or equivalent certification (or be prepared to obtain at your own cost)
Previous offshore experience is highly desirable but not required.
Hold a valid passport
