Role Objective:
The Accountant shall be responsible for managing invoicing, banking and withdrawal of cheques, assisting bank reconciliation statements process, monitoring remittance accounts, maintain PDC cheque schedules and serve as custodian of cheques available, return cheques management and responsible for other miscellaneous transactions recording related to receivable function.
Key Accountabilities
Clear receipts after verifying them with the bank statement; liaise with relevant team to clear any missing or wrong entries.
Maintain and follow up on remittance accounts and cash clearing accounts.
Assist Prepare Monthly Bank reconciliation statements.
Follow up and clear any pending items in Bank reconciliation with other departments or banks.
Cheque receiving, banking and custodian activity.
Reconcile and confirm customer statements.
Maintain schedule for PDC available, Returned Cheques etc.
Continuously update CRM
Prepare timely letters for cheque withdrawals/deposit.
Provide Ad hoc reports and schedules as and when required by superiors
Provide schedules and information required by external auditors.
Act as a contact point for all the banks as and when required.
Preparation of Statement of Accounts of retail customers as and when required.
Perform any other tasks/responsibility allocated by the supervisor/line manager.

Monitors plans, programs and costs against approved Budget.

Carries out and performs other related duties as specified or when required as assigned by the Line Manager to improve or enhance the efficiency of the department’s work and performance.

Educational Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
Experience
Minimum 3 to 5-year relevant accounting experience from a reputable company.
