This role is for UDC Subsidiary Hospitality Development Company
Role Objective:
The Graphic Designer is responsible for conceptualization and design of graphic applications such as collateral material, environmental graphics, books and magazines, corporate identity, film titling and multimedia interfaces, from concept to completion.
Key Accountabilities
Prepare work to be accomplished by gathering information and materials.
Plan concept by studying information and materials.
Illustrate concept by designing rough layout of art and copy regarding arrangement, size, type size and style, and related aesthetic concepts.
Obtain approval of concept by submitting rough layout for approval.
Prepare finished copy and art by operating typesetting, printing, and similar equipment.
Prepare final layout by marking and pasting up finished copy and art.
Ensure operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer& instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment.
Complete projects by coordinating with outside agencies, art services, printers, etc.
Maintain technical knowledge by attending design workshops; reviewing professional publications; participating in professional societies.
Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Apply principle of design and typography to the processes employed in the graphic design industry.
Demonstrate an understanding of the vocabulary of design.
Demonstrate the ability to present and critique concepts and designs.

Demonstrate visual, intuitive, diagnostic problem solving that employs appropriate technical skills and techniques in solving daily design/communication problems following guidelines from company’s policies and procedures.
Use visual design methodology as a framework for considering collaboration, context and accountability in design problem solving.
Demonstrate innovation/creativity to be evaluated through evidence of ability to generate new ideas and approaches; devising imaginative solutions to work-related problems.
Use analysis and cross-pollination of information from own situation to another to solve problems.

To undertake any other duties that may be required as determined by the Supervisor or Managers.

Educational Qualifications
Associate Degree or Diploma in Art, Fine Arts, Graphic Design
Experience
Minimum of 3 years advanced demonstrated experience in graphic design and high-level desktop publishing, project coordination and production, preferable with similar industry experience.
Technical Competencies
Complete understanding of design to print process (how should completed files be received by the printer including: high resolution photos, color for CMYK and spot breakdown, line screens, and font usage).
Adobe Photoshop / Adobe Acrobat/ Adobe Illustrator/ Adobe InDesign/ multimedia programs.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Powerpoint, Word, and Excel).
Adaptability to new developments in graphic design and publishing software.
Communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Familiar with working within corporate identity guidelines.
