Deputy Director - Commercial (QIG - Marine Services)

To pioneer, lead and own the formulation of policies, strategies and plans that are aligned with QIG Marine Services strategic direction, policies and business plan; and oversee their implementation and monitor their effectiveness with the aim to generate long-term shareholders value through the realization of sustainable growth and profitability, exerting leadership and assuring the optimal utilization of resources, consistently achieving targets, with continuous commitment to innovation, Best-Practice, and compliance with the statutory requirements and applicable standards for the area(s) within the scope of responsibility.

Strategic:

Set and own policies, strategy & plans for the area(s) within the scope of responsibility and assure their alignment with QIG Marine Services strategic direction.
Develop and own the annual business plan and associated budget in line with the approved policies, strategy & plans for the area(s) within the scope of responsibility.
Develop and oversee the implementation of optimal structure for the company and policies, procedures and controls covering all activities within the scope of responsibility in support of QIG Marine Services strategic direction and in compliance with the relevant statutory requirements.
Operational

· Monitor and support the development of financial performance of new and existing revenue streams to assure the realization of sustainable profitability and growth targets for the area(s) within the scope of responsibility.

· Proactively liaise with the executives and directors to identify, study, propose, and pursue business development opportunities from existing or new investments in line with the approved policies, strategies and plans for the area(s) within the scope of responsibility.

· Manage and oversee the operations at the area(s) within the scope of responsibility assuring their alignment to the overall strategy of QIG Marine Services.

· Identify, develop, and maintain a dashboard of KPIs and Score-cards to monitor the effectiveness of the deployed policies, strategies and plans for the area(s) within the scope of responsibility.

· Assure continuous and effective optimization and development of processes and resources for the area(s) within the scope of responsibility.

· Maintain and develop brand(s) identity and position for the area(s) within the scope of responsibility.

· Monitor market trends and conduct market analysis and benchmarking to exploit potential business opportunities for the area(s) within the scope of responsibilities.

· Perform data analysis and prepare timely and accurate reports for the area(s) within the scope of responsibility.

· Ensure that the principal risks for the area(s) within the scope of responsibility, including but not limited to, environmental, operational, financial, geological, legal and regulatory risks, are identified and that appropriate systems are in place which effectively monitor, mitigate and communicate those risks.

· Manage the engagement with the auditors through effective collaboration and prompt and comprehensive responses to assure the successful closure of audit observations within the scope of responsibility.

Financial: 

· Direct the preparation and consolidation of the annual budget for the area(s) within the scope of responsibility in accordance with the business plan, other operational activities and statutory requirements.

· Assure increased cash flow and positive cash position for the area(s) within the scope of responsibility.

People: 

· Develop and maintain work culture that promotes integrity and ethical values at the area(s) within the scope of responsibility.

· Develop and maintain a result-oriented and customer-focused team(s) delivering premium customer service and achieving optimal customer satisfaction.

· Lead cross-functional teams to implement the strategy and plans for the area(s) within the scope of responsibility and achieve the intended targets.

· Manage and develop the performance of the team within the scope of responsibility and assure their alignment with the established policies, strategy & plans, and their contributions towards the realization of results.

· Effectively manage relations with stakeholders in support of the approved policies, strategy & plans for the area(s) within the scope of responsibility and in compliance with the statutory requirements and applicable standards.

Miscellaneous: 

· Represent the company in business events as required in line with the approved strategy and plans for the area(s) within the scope of responsibility.

· Observe QHSSE Best-Practice guidelines and/or approved applicable policies and procedures for the area(s) within the scope of responsibility.

· Maintain up-to-date knowledge on local statutory requirements, applicable standards, global trends and technological advancements in the core lines of the operations at the area(s) within the scope of responsibility and utilize this knowledge to develop performance.

· Perform any relevant additional duties and responsibilities as directed by Top Management and/or the immediate superior.

Accountabilities:

· Brand(s) position of the area(s) within the scope of responsibility.

· Actual expenditures in line with approved budget for the area(s) within the scope of responsibility.

· Sustainable profitability in line with agreed targets for the area(s) within the scope of responsibility.

· Business growth in line with agreed targets for the area(s) within the scope of responsibility.

· Sustaining positive cash position in line with agreed targets.

· Achievement of quality, reliability/delivery, and productivity targets for the processes and resources at the area(s) within the scope of responsibility.

· Compliance with statutory requirements for the area(s) within the scope of responsibility.

. Achievement of any other KPIs and scorecards targets for the area(s) within the scope of responsibility.

المهارات
Education:

· Bachelor degree in any relevant discipline.

· Master’s Degree is beneficial.

Experience:

12-14 years of experience, preferably 8 years in a similar field, depending on academic qualification

Professional Training:

· Professional training in leadership, business administration, strategic planning, policy and organization development is beneficial

Skills:

· Practical knowledge of modern management and leadership principles

· Practical knowledge of quality and change management

· Practical knowledge of process mapping

· Strong numerical and analytical skills

· Ability to manage multiple tasks under deadline

· Excellent business communication & presentation skills

· Excellent ability to gather and analyse information

· Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with Integrated ERP Systems (SAP is preferred)

· Fluent in English and Arabic is beneficial.
