As QFZA continues to grow, we have an increasing requirement to build and maintain our Free Zones. The position Head of MEP acts as a Focal Point for all mechanical & electrical engineering-related issues and to hold overall accountability for mechanical & electrical system standards, design implementation, and support to construction activities.
Works collaboratively with design consultants on items such as building mechanical/electrical system designs, material selections and its standardization & related requirements.
Ensures conformance to applicable engineering codes and standards, QA/QC systems, policies, and procedures.
Collects and interprets engineering data, oversees project design basis, develops standards specifications, proactively manages vendor technical interfaces, leads identification, and resolution of mechanical/electrical engineering issues coordinated with other disciplines.
Reviews vendor drawings, detailed design calculations and drawings for materials of construction for assigned discipline.
Support and advice QFZ in equipment selection in relation to security function.
Implement all QFZA policies, especially those related to Qatarization.
المهارات
Successful candidates should have:
Bachelor’s degree preferably in Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
15 and above years of experience
High skills on conceptual, pre-commissioning, commissioning and SOP, Operating and Maintenance manuals, verified as-built drawings, directed testing, tender evaluation etc.
Excellent leadership and technical skills
Excellent technical writing Skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
