Job Objective
Responsible for the preparation of plan(s) for execution in line with projects’ over all schedule(s). Critically monitor project’s execution and suggest appropriate and timely corrective action to complete the project within time and budget.
Responsible for monitoring the financial health of the projects in relation to the approved budgets. Responsible for performing the cost & risk estimation and analysis & control activities including the checking of individual cost centers. Also responsible for working out cost-to-complete and cost-at-completion of each project for the review of the Management.
Planning Function
Progress Updation
Creation of level III plan
Ensure timely updation of Level III plan of the project in close coordination with Project Manager.
Ensure regular updation of the master plan of project on the basis of inputs received from site and other concerned departments.
Ensure timely communication of the approved project plan to all concerned for its implementation.
Generating Look ahead Schedule
Responsible for the timely identification of critical activities of the project.
Responsible to generate look-ahead schedules based on updated Level III plan and available work front.
Forecasting of Material & Equipment
Responsible to forecast requirement of materials and equipment according to Level-III plan on quarterly basis.
Identifying Requirements:
Identify and update requirements of manpower, direct material and direct consumables based on 3-months look-ahead plan or as required by the Management.
Generating Progress Reports
Responsible to generate discipline-wise progress reports on the intervals defined in procedure or as advised by the Management.
Man-hours Booking
Ensure timely and accurate booking of man-hours.
Invoicing
Responsible for the verification of executed quantities and preparation of invoices in order to bill the client while identifying and incorporating all extra works at site for the period.
Cost Control Function
Project Plan and Control Strategy
Responsible for the formulation of Project Cost Control Strategy, setting up priorities and deliverables of the project in consultation with the Project Manager
Responsible for the timely identification of critical activities of the project.
Ensure timely communication of the approved project plan to all concerned for its implementation.
Ensure regular updation of the master plan of project on the basis of inputs received from site and other concerned departments.
Monitoring & Control
Responsible for the formulation of effective and efficient Project Cost Control System.
Ensure proper awareness and implementation of the project cost control system to monitor the project effectively.
Ensure close monitoring of the critical activities of the project and report the deviations to Management in time.
Monitors project cost by using latest tools and techniques like Earned Value Management (EV), Earned Schedule Management (ES), Cost Performance Index (CPI) & project balance techniques.
Monitors budgetary deviations and reports to the Project Manager in time.
Verifies and monitor quantities and man-hour accrual and measures site performance and crew productivity.
Responsible to monitor the performed work cost and to analyze breakdown cost for all project activities by using Activity Based Costing (ABC) method.
Reports
Ensure timely issuance of histograms and curves of cash flow, resources, material & equipment to present the project demand curves to Management.
Release project controls variance reports highlighting conformance or non-conformance with standard project control expectations on level of time, cost, cash flow and productivity.
Identifies, monitors, tracks and reports the project baseline budget v/s actual project budget on daily, weekly and monthly basis.
المهارات
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Civil engineering
Minimum Experience
10 years’ experience in planning and cost control of Civil & MEP Projects.
Experience of District Cooling or Cooling Plants of similar scale would be advantageous.
Key Skills
Good knowledge and understanding of Civil & MEP Projects
Good knowledge and understanding of planning softwares
Good knowledge and understanding of the latest techniques of planning and cost control
