Manage and lead the Heavy Lift business unit in terms of operations, product placement and strategic direction. Act as a subject matter expert for all lifting related activities.
Prepare annual budget and business plan for Heavy Equipment’s Business Unit and deliver against it;
Manage Profit and Loss account;
Responsible for planning, risk assessment and execution of rigging & lifting operations;
Assure the application of consistent, safe and legally compliant lifting practices across operations;
Develop and implement performance standards, procedures and technical guidance notes;
Identify and implement improvements in the technical quality and content of performance standards and procedural guidance related to heavy lift operations;
Support and improve the quality of planning, risk assessment and execution of heavy lift operations;
Review and update processes and procedures applicable to heavy lift operations whilst maintaining consistent and legally compliant performance standards and technical guidance;
Support projects in the planning, risk assessment and execution of critical lifting operations;
Support proposals in providing specialized technical support input to bids;
Identification and performance monitoring of safety critical elements (SCE’s) applicable to rigging and lifting operations;
Perform technical audit of performance standards, procedures and SCE’s;
In collaboration with Specialist - HSSEQ, perform incident investigation and root cause analysis;
Act as the client interface by building up professional working relationships with key players in the client’s organization;
Drive continuous improvement of process efficiency, reduction of cost and improved profit through reviews/action plans and structured frequent performance management for employees, suppliers and network partners;
Ensure all services provided to internal/external clients are in line with the company’s processes, procedures and meet all contractual obligations;
Provide recommendations on new subordinate hires and ensure the availability of all resources required to perform assigned tasks and activities;
Supervise subordinate staff, assign work activities, monitor performance and review results;
Act as a coach to subordinates, identify their training and career development, recommend training courses and follow-up on their personnel records such as timesheets, discipline, vacations, leaves and absenteeism;
Perform other job-related duties and projects as assigned.
المهارات
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience;
Competent Person / Appointed Person accredited qualification;
LEEA accreditation or equivalent.
Professional Experience:
8-10 years of experience preferably within the oil and gas industry;
Demonstratable track record of managing heavy lift operations.
Geographic Experience:
Minimum 5 years of GCC/Middle East experience;
International experience and working in multi-national environment is preferred.
Computer Skills:
Knowledge in overall system workflow design;
Knowledge of AutoCAD to produce lifting plans.
Language Skills:
Business fluent English
Market / Industry / Functional Knowledge:
Comprehensive knowledge of rigging & lifting operational techniques, regulatory /legislative requirements and planning methods;
Demonstratable significant knowledge and experience in rigging and lifting operations within procedural/legislative requirements in the oil and gas industry;
Good understanding of Oil & Gas markets;
Overall knowledge of the Heavy Lift industry;
Good knowledge of technical and commercial aspects of heavy lift;
Expert analytical and problem-solving skills.
