Provide timely, efficient, and accurate support to the Group Legal & Compliance department by identifying, retrieving and providing required legal information to support the Department Managers in decision making and protecting company ’s position from a legal and compliance aspect.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Identify primary and secondary sources of legal information relevant to company and assist the department in gathering relevant information in order to provide necessary legal information when required.
Remain abreast with local, regional, and global political issues and laws to provide company with informed and updated perspectives.
Prepare formal legal correspondence for external parties to advice on legal issues and contracts of all natures.
Assist in the renewal and update of company and subsidiary statutory and regulatory documents.
Conduct necessary research in order to advise on contracts formulation between company and outside parties to protect company ’s position from a legal aspect.
Support the team in putting together internal and external reports such as the company Annual Report as required.
Participate in regular internal legal meetings, and with external parties (occasionally) regarding all issues pertaining to legal affairs such as legislation, contracts and revisions to maximize perspective and input into legal decisions affecting company .
Liaise with subsidiaries to collect needed information about any case that is being monitored and investigated.
Assist in the dissemination of information regarding essential and statutory provisions and procedures to all concerned parties in order to ensure that these are implemented in line with required standards.
Ensure documents are handled and logged in a timely and accurate manner. Create and maintain reference files and relevant documents to facilitate easy retrieval of required information and files.
Maintain the registers of statutory documents and create records for approved forms, ensuring their integrity and accuracy.
Prepare ‘Ad Hoc’ MIS Reports, timely and accurately, in order to meet the special departmental needs and Senior Management requests.
Perform any other ad-hoc duties relevant to the role as assigned by the Department Managers and the Group Chief Legal Officer as per business requirements.
المهارات
Bachelor’s Degree in Law or any related field is required.
Minimum 5 - 7 years’ relevant experience in a legal setting is required.
Knowledge of legal principles and practices.
Detail and result oriented.
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Ability to work well under pressure within timeframes.
Planning and organization skills.
Team player with good interpersonal skills.
Good communication skills both verbal and written in English and Arabic is required.
