Supervision of Subordinates
• Organise and supervise the activities and work of subordinates to ensure that all work within a specific area of the activity is carried out in an efficient manner, which is consistent with operating procedures and policy.
• Provide on-the-job training, coaching and constructive feedback to subordinates to support their overall development. This will include an Insurance Product Specialist as a direct report and a small team of telesales insurance agents.
Product Strategy
• Responsible for formulating the Retail wide product insurance strategy and ensure the implementation and delivery of underlying product objectives.
Budgets, Planning and monitoring
• Contribute to the preparation of the budget and monitor financial performance versus the budget, in order to ensure that the business is aware of anticipated costs/revenues and areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified
Banking Products
• Facilitate conceptualization, design and review Retail Banking Insurance products through the utilization of analytics data, market insights and internal capabilities. Work with relevant stakeholders in order to provide the bank with captivating customer offers in order to win in the market place.
• Implement, communicate and monitor Retail Banking products (by liaising with key stakeholders, developing activity and enhancing service, product and brand offerings whenever possible) in order to drive growth and maintain retention of customers.
Other Accountabilities
Insurance
• Manage product and delivery of insurance products through effective management of insurance providers
• Ensure insurance related products are competitive and aligned to the bank’s strategy and customer needs
Reporting and Operational Needs Assessment
• Provide periodic and / or ad hoc reports and analysis for Retail banking product and proposition performance, in order to provide senior management with insights and clarity of banking product current activities and performance
Wealth Management
• Support the implementation and ongoing development of wealth management through provision of relevant product suppliers as required
• Ensure wealth management offering is competitive and in line with international standards
• Monitor product development and third party product supplier management, pricing and maintenance
Acquisitions of Salaried Accounts/ Target Customers
• Plan and drive customer acquisition and cross sale, by developing products that appeal to targeted customers and are market leading.
• Work with internal stakeholders to achieve acquisition strategies across all segments and nationalities in order to generate customer acquisition growth and revenue for the bank
المهارات
Education
Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Business-related major
8 - 10 years’ relevant experience in Retail Banking (including at least 5 years in positions directly related to Insurance Product management which may include actual sales or telesales history in this field)
Knowledge, & Other skills:
• Retail banking knowledge.
• Financial understanding, P&L;, Pricing and Balance Sheet knowledge
• Analytical and numerical skills
