Lead and manage the Information Technology (IT) function from a strategic and operational perspective, determine short and long term technology requirements and ensure effective IT and ERP systems are in place for the smooth execution of the company’s operations.
Develop and implement IT strategy and plans in line with the departmental and organizational strategies to deliver value adding IT solutions to the company.
Manage the preparation of the IT budget and ensure there is an adequate provision for monitoring, controlling, and reconciling of expenditure against the approved budgets.
Liaise with the relevant business unit heads to analyse the IT needs for the company and its business units, from an operational and strategic perspective.
Lead architectural and design activities to find the best technical solutions in line with the business and user requirements.
Direct the IT projects to ensure all project objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost effective manner.
Define and agree upon internal and external project milestones and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to track project progress, and manage escalations as per deadlines.
Oversee the acquisition, installation, upgrade, and management of the company’s networks, systems, and application as per the IT strategy plan.
Oversee the storage and distribution of data in an efficient manner which ensure ease of access of data.
Identify areas of process automation which will increase productivity and efficiency of resources.
Review end user’s and business owner’s requirements for upgrade / enhancement of assigned IT applications.
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement of relevant ERP and other IT software systems, infrastructure and network processes, in line with industry best practices.
Develop business continuity plans including the provision of disaster recovery facilities and oversee the implementation and testing of the efficacy of disaster recovery procedures.
Validate purchase requirements of hardware, software, and any other IT peripherals, and provide approvals, wherever required.
Ensure maximum availability and optimal overall performance of IT infrastructure and applications.
Lead the selection and management of vendors, and third party service providers to meet the IT needs in line with the company’s approved policies and procedures.
Oversee the procurement of IT software and hardware assets in a cost effective manner and review the log of all the assets.
Oversee the maintenance and repair of all IT assets to facilitate smooth business operations.
Ensure proper arrangements for creating data backup and archiving are in place.
Identify the key risks posed to business continuity from an IT perspective and develop and implement mitigation strategies.
Provide secure IT infrastructure at minimum cost, and ensure privacy of data and security from external threats.
Ensure collaboration and communication between employees and business functions by providing network access both inside the office premises and outside through secure virtual networks.
Develop and recommend effective IT policies, processes, and procedures that enable the company to establish systems of governance.
Ensure compliance of IT systems with relevant laws and regulations globally and in Qatar, especially with respect to information security and data privacy.
Liaise with the HR department to plan and execute training programs to ensure that the team is well equipped with necessary IT knowledge and skills.
Supervise the preparation of timely and accurate departmental MIS statements and reports pertaining to IT.
Perform any other duties relevant to the role as assigned by the company’s Management as per the business requirements.

Qualifications:
Bachelors’ degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or any related field is required.
Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or any related field will be preferred.
Experience:
Minimum 10 - 12 years of professional work experience in IT or related field with at least prior experience in senior Company’s role.
Job Specific Skills:
Strong knowledge and in-depth experience in a wide range of technical expertise, covering IT development, operations and service delivery, and disaster recovery.
Excellent knowledge of overall project Company’s methodologies and processes for execution and implementation of ERP, and other software applications.
Sound working knowledge of ERP systems like Oracle, SAP, and software applications like Primavera etc.
Sound knowledge in basic LAN / WAN topologies and other networking technologies.
Experience in the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures.
Ability to maintain focus on long-term strategic objectives in light of immediate operational requirements.
Thorough knowledge of IT trends and developments.
Strong interpersonal and general Company’s skills.
Solid project Company’s skills.
Strong planning and organizing skills.
Strong negotiation and problem solving skills.
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint and Excel).
Excellent communication skills in English and Arabic, both verbal and written is required.
