Candidate will be responsible for leading the operations, administration, business development, and revenue growth of a plastic & packaging products manufacturing firm in Qatar. The General Manager will report directly to the CEO, and indirectly to the directors. The company is part of a big group in Qatar manufacturing plastic film solutions, sheets, shrink rolls, biodegradable plastic bags, shopping bags, printed labels, etc. Essential Responsibilities:
Overseeing daily business operations
Developing and implementing growth strategies
Training low-level managers and staff.
Creating and managing budgets.
Improving revenue.
Hiring employees.
Evaluating performance and productivity.
Analyzing accounting and financial data.
Researching and identifying growth opportunities.
Generating reports and giving presentations.
Identifying new opportunities and lead setting up of new production lines, by the procurement of production equipment and auxiliary packaging products.
Determine sources of supply and items to stock for the packaging sector.
Identifying opportunities for increased range and volume in plastic conversion market..
Maintaining and developing a strong customer base through targeted approach.
Preparing business plans, proposals, and contract submissions for new and existing customers.
Develop print and packaging costing and estimation process.
Evaluate pricing, service and product specifications to meet company and customer standards.
Hiring of technical & sales staff.
Ensuring compliance with policy with respect to stock management.
Providing excellent customer service, including promptly responding to queries, handling complaints, and appropriately capturing customer activity and contacts.
Provide leadership to print and packaging team.
Act as a total business partner to all departments within the company to meet company and customer standards.
المهارات
Bachelor/Diploma degree in Packaging/Plastic Technology / Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent or degree in business administration.
Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in commercial plastic conversion industry in the GCC. Prior GCC experience is compulsory.
Prior and proven experience in participating in government tenders, and experience with preparation of tender documents.
Must have a minimum of 8 - 10 years of experience in working in plastic conversion industries, and must possess excellent technical know-how in the production of plastic films, shrink rolls, printed plastic bags, trash bags and biodegradable products.
Good technical knowledge of various printing and finishing processes for packaging products. High level of expertise in flexographic and rotogravure printing.
Proven leadership skills, and demonstrated leadership experience.
High level of organizational, communication and multi-tasking skills.
Ability to work effectively, efficiently and accurately under pressure in a busy office environment.
Comfortable with director-level reporting.
