CIVIL ENGINEER - FINISHING

الوصف الوظيفي
Key Purpose:
• To provide technical support to a defined scope of civil engineering and construction activities.
Role & Responsibilities:
• Apply designs and plans to mark out the site. This may include residential, retail, office or any other commercial projects.
• Liaising with and working alongside architects, supervisors, and subcontractors.
• They share responsibility for site security, health and safety, and the organization and supervision of material and human resource
• Acting as the main technical adviser on the site for subcontractors, craftspeople and operatives
• Checking plans, drawings, and quantities for accuracy of calculations
• Ensuring that all materials used and work performed are as per specifications Overseeing the selection and requisition of materials
• Liaising with any consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors and the general workforce involved in the project.
• Day-to-day management of the site, including supervising and monitoring the site labor force and the work of any subcontractors
• Planning the work and efficiently organizing the site facilities in order to meet agreed with deadlines
• Overseeing quality control and health and safety matters on site
• Preparing reports as required
• Resolving any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise.
المهارات
Candidate Profile:
 Civil Engineering degree is a must.  Professional engineering certification where applicable.
 Minimum of 10 years of civil, commercial or industrial construction experience including direct experience supervising major construction sites.
 Sound knowledge of engineering design and construction codes.
 Excellent construction scheduling and site management skills.
 Strong budget management and cost reporting skills.
 Experience in dealing with and responding to sub-contractor variance reports and claims settlements.
 Strong written and verbal communications skills.
 Excellent experience in high-quality finishing.
