• Develop and execute health and safety plans in the company according to legal guidelines
• Supports the Top Management in the HSE Policy and Guidelines issue.
• Supports the Top Management in the HSE Management System standard issue.
• Preparing and enforcing policies to establish a culture of health and safety
• Evaluate, assess and alter safety procedures and policies for the benefit of employees and clients
• Assists the Commercial, Engineering and Operations Department in their dealings with Clients in all issues concerned with Health and Safety at work.
• Preparation of Health and Safety documentation for new tenders.
• Lead injury and incident inquiries and evaluations
• Visit job sites to conduct safety audits on personnel, equipment and materials; and do necessary safety inspection
• Research and implement new materials handling processes
• Analyze accident reports and evaluate injury case studies based on available facts
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory bodies and standards (including OSHA, etc.)
• Research environmental regulations and policies and institute changes to ensure compliance
• Recommend solutions to issues, improvement opportunities or new prevention measures
• Track incident metrics and apply findings
• Oversee the applications for and receipt of necessary permits
• Assists in the development, evaluation and upgrading of safety programs.
• Identify the training and development needs of company staff, and also ensure that the needs are met
• Coordinate various activities like scheduling of work assignments, monitoring, and setting of clear priorities to Safety Team
• Work hand-in-hand with company medical services unit to provide and organize emergency services for injured and/or sick staff
• Establish target areas and long term accident prevention and cost-control goals
• Act as a representative of the company when it comes to society or industry safety programs
• Regularly provide training and coaching across all staff levels as required by the government’s safety rules and regulations
• Make sure that new employees are well-informed as regards safety instructions before they start work, and also emphasize and explain any form of possible environmental hazard, including applicable precautions
• Provide leadership during safety threatening crisis situation at workplace that ensures calmness.
• Provides for motivation and familiarization of all Company personnel respecting the importance of complying with Company system procedures and all Safety equipment provided.
• Provides technical support to Senior Management on any safety related subjects.
• Provides Safety support and advice, including supervision on preparation of plans and procedures for initial contract start up activities.
• Prepare high level reports and presentations.
المهارات
• Experience of 8 – 10 years in IMS operations, with at least 5 years in a management position.
• Bachelor’s Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience
• Excellent spoken and written communication skills
• Trained in NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, Internal Auditor, Risk Management, and Fire Safety.
• Knowledgeable in ISO 14001, 45001, and 9001
• Ability to train, influence and motivate team members
• Ability in producing reports and developing relevant policies
• Ability to conduct and deliver presentation in a professional manner
• Outstanding attention to detail and observation ability
• Valid qualification in occupational health and safety
• Knowledge of OSHA and EPA standards is a plus
• With valid certificates of HSE related trainings
