Sr. Infrastructure Specialist focus on designing scalable, secure, maintainable and easy to operate enterprise network Infrastructure across all the offices.
The Sr. Infrastructure Specialist shall cover tasks that are usually classified under network architecture, network administration, Hosting Infrastructure, Inter-Offices VPN connectivity and security administration roles. Also, the Sr. Infrastructure Specialist expected to work on operating systems, platforms and application levels.
Sr. Infrastructure Specialist is mainly responsible for the smooth running of the network infrastructure across all the offices and enabling the end users to maximize their productivity. Individual tasks vary but include:
Design enterprise large TCP/IP network from end user’s connectivity to complex WAN links between offices with focus on security and reliability
Review networks’ health under partners’ or third party’s control and operation such as hosting facilities and report breaches to management as well as any enhancement’s opportunity
Pro-actively maintain the network infrastructure equipment such as routers, switches, firewalls, modems and the like and prevent problems before they occur
Responding to breakdowns
Liaison with third party and support providers to negotiate support agreements and resolve incidents.
Write functional requirements/specifications documents
Create detailed network design documents, review and update the documents as necessary to maintain up-to-date configuration management database and train subordinates as requested and as necessary .
Prioritizing and managing many open cases at one time.
Acting as the change manager for all network related changes.
Establishing a good working relationship with staff Establishing a good working relationship with staff.
المهارات
Technical skills:
Strong knowledge in Microsoft technologies and platforms like windows servers , Exchange , SharePoint ..etc
Strong knowledge in Linux OS and Drupal CMS architecture
Proficient in TCP/IP networking
Manage OS and platforms such as (Windows, Linux, MS Exchange, MS SharePoint, MS GB, Citrix and Desktops including MAC)
Switching – Vlans, Spanning Tree, Port Channels
Hands on experience with Quality of Service (QoS) design rationale
In depth experience in security infrastructure support including firewall configuration and deep packet inspection and IPSEC VPN’s
In depth understanding and experience with firewall principles and technologies with experience in Checkpoint and CISCO firewalls
Education, Training and Experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science.
Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in a similar role.
MCSE and CCNP Certificate is a preferred .
ITIL V3 Foundation Certification is an asset.
Knowledge and experience in Media organizations is preferred.
