الوصف الوظيفي To support OTV Assistant director on the implementation of TV roadmap and translate that into technical requirements for the Technology Transformation. To be the main point of interaction with Technology on all topics related to TV transformation. To be sole responsible for the Consumer view of tv technology strategy. Role holder works closely with Sales, Procurement, Regulatory, Technology, Product management and other internal and external stakeholders to ensure delivery in time of new TV services/products according to quality standards. Role holder maintains close relationship with Technology and Operations to secure outstanding quality in all TV services. Business orientation • Be familiar with TV business models, international and regional markets and trends. • Understand fixed services portfolio as well as the principals of a TV business, including the roles of Product, Content, Technology and the fit of the TV business into the overall offer. • Be familiar with business case elaboration and concepts such as Capital Expenditure, Operational Expenditure as well as their implication on TV P&L;. • Analyse TV internal processes and benchmark them against internal and external references to assess and propose improvements. • Analyse market trends to identify points of further improvement in TV services and operational process. • Understand business needs and translate those into specific requirements for Technology and other stakeholders with the goal of launching new products/services. Planning & Organising • Preparation of all tender documents and set out easy process of tendering, evaluations and approval of Q.P.S.C. Page 2 of 3 Problem Solving • Ensure the best quality of all products at all times to meet customers’ expectations and satisfaction. Assuring best after sales services to customers with all concerned and propose palliative measures if needed. • Analyse issues/risks, propose, socialise/reach consensus and implement action plans for mitigating/removing them. • Supervise and secure smooth operation of TV services content and EPG ingestion and Censorship activities. Communicating, negotiating & influencing • Meeting with local and overseas vendors to solve any complexities, complaints or problems that may arise with them on products or services. • Negotiate the reduction of prices & others requirements with vendors. • Coordinating multiple stakeholders towards ensuring OTV services continuity and deployment of new services/products in time. • Collect Business requirements from Product Manager and translate into understandable instructions to Technology and Operations. • Guide Product Manager on the capabilities and limitations of existing TV systems and potential alternatives. C. EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS • Minimum of 15 years’ experience in Technology/Marketing (or on a Technology related role in any other area) • Minimum of 10 years on a similar role • Outstanding knowledge of Telco, and specifically IPTV/OTT Technology ecosystem • Outstanding digital media/IPTV product knowledge • Excellent project management skills • Outstanding knowledge on process of tendering and negotiation skills. • Excellent knowledge on telecommunication products and services. • Excellent knowledge on media service provider operational activities MUST Required Minimum Experience & Essential Knowledge • 15 years’ experience in Marketing / Technology (or on a Technology related role in any other area) • Fluent in English • Negotiating and tendering knowledge • Good understanding of financial concepts Minimum Entry Qualifications • Bachelor Degree in Technology / Marketing • 10 years’ experience handling complex TV projects • Master’s Degree would be a plus. KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS • Project/service delivery in time and as per quality • Elaboration and execution of tv technological roadmap • Ensure efficiency on tv operational process • Processing of tv technology related tendering and purchase orders on time • Meeting all tv quality targets as agreed with Management • Being able to fill in for Head of TV E. KEY RELATIONSHIPS & DECISION MAKING Reports to Head of TV • Internally: Coordinates activities with other department managers of Company • Externally: Local and overseas vendors, integrators, regulatory bodies, competitors and partners. Page 3 of 3 Network • Coordinates with partners, vendors, integrators to keep up to date on state of the art technology, trends on the TV/media space, etc. • Coordinates with Technology, other Marketing departments, Demand Management, IPTV Operations, Sales Support Team, Finance, Legal, Regulatory, Procurement and Stores, & Installation for products/services development/deployment. Team working, coaching, guiding • Ensure working team spirit and coordination major stakeholders to meet all targets. • Guiding team members/stakeholders toward simplicity and excellence of work process internally and externally. • Active participation on team events. Decision making authority • Decisions related to requirements approval, coordination/prioritisation, quality of services etc. • Fast decisions on raising issues/flagging risks and proposing solutions/mitigation actions. • Setting parameters for threshold in monitoring quality and service performance in all ambits. • Defining and socialising OTV technological strategy and roadmap. • Acting as Head of TV back up when required. المهارات تفاصيل الوظيفة
