The Organization:
Our client is providing innovative Information Technology solutions, products and services in state of Kuwait and Middle East region. Their solutions aim to add by improving efficiency and effectiveness across all sectors, with a specific focus on government, security, oil & gas, telecommunication, transportation and healthcare For their client in Qatar, they are hiring a Vulnerability Assessor.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Ensure that the security alerting communications are fully functional at all times and take appropriate actions where deficiencies occur;
• Ensure that the output of security advisories / alerts / reports are completed in accordance with policy & procedures;
• Coordinate with the stakeholders to publish information on threats and vulnerabilities;
• Dissemination of analyst reports on vulnerabilities to Critical Sector Organizations;
• Dissemination of information on vulnerabilities at appropriate external forums;
• Monitors public sources for vulnerability information;
• Perform deep assessments of vulnerabilities;
• Research and writes actionable reports;
• Brief on issues of internal and external customer interest;
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of information throughout reporting;
• Respond to internal and external customer inquiries on vulnerabilities and related topics;
• Reports changes to the state of existing vulnerabilities to internal team member;
المهارات
Skills & Competencies:
• Cyber Security Subject Matter Expert on Information Security vulnerabilities relating to Qatar;
• Broad technical knowledge of internet protocols, security technologies, common attacks against systems/networks and operational details of multiple operating systems. Prior experience in system/network administration and in one or more programming languages would be an advantage;
• Understanding of different vulnerability types and common weakness enumeration (CWE);
• Familiarity with web application and/or OS-level vulnerability categories and documentation (OWASP, CVE);
• Understanding of patch management and software development lifecycle (SDLC);
• Strong writing skills with ability to communicate clearly and efficiently;
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate in a team environment;
• Able to communicate how an attacker would go about exploiting a vulnerability and what types of activity they could use it for;
• Understanding of one or more of the following: C/C++, PHP, Perl, Python, JavaScript, Ruby, SQL, Assembly;
• Understanding of the general threat landscape and how vulnerabilities and their exploitation impact it
• Familiarity with tools such as Wireshark, nmap, Metasploit, Nessus, Snort, etc.;
• Experience with analyzing large data sets to identify notable conclusions or actionable trends for reporting;
• Specific practical, technical experience in one or more of the following would be highly advantageous:
o Cyber Forensic analysis.
o Honeypot / Honeynet implementation and analysis.
o Network flow analysis - planning, implementation, collection, collation and analysis.
o Open-source threat analysis.
Education & Qualifications:
• Degree in a computer science related subject with subsequent related and relevant experience in the information security field;
• Accreditation/Certifications: GTCI, GCIH;
• 3 years of Information Security;
• Minimum 5 years of IT experience in addition to specific experience;
