Overview
The Services Specialist will be responsible for performing work in multiple areas of service such as Food Service Operations, Recreational Services, Base Custodial Operations, Housekeeping and/or Maintenance. This is a hybrid position that will require the ability to work multiple facets of services operations in multiple locations. The employee must have the ability to deploy/travel to support multiple ISS Task Orders throughout the AOR. The position will be located in Qatar and travel to support other AFCAP ISS projects as required on a temporary basis. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn new things, self-motivated, take initiative and have strong communication skills.
Responsibilities
Responsible for communicating and upholding company standards, leading by example, working as a team, and providing clean, friendly, and well-maintained facilities.
Shall monitor LN/OCNs, IAW AFCENTI 32-1002, Local National (LN)/Other Country National- Escort (OCN-E) Program, and local escort policy and 379 AEWI supplement to AFCENTI 32-1002, Force Protection Escort Program as well as other PWS support personnel, such as vendors and delivery personnel.
Responsible for performing all duties required for the operation of installation support and food services. Duties include, but are not limited to, cashier, customer service, bartending, lounge support, basic maintenance and cleaning, inventory, stocking, basic technical equipment assistance, event setup and break down, tour & trips guide, linen exchange, etc. as specified in the Performance Work Statement.
Provides excellent customer service and performs related tasks in all functional areas of Recreational Services.
Shall conduct food handling, storage, receiving and transferring of subsistence in strict accordance with the applicable Tri-Service Food Code and keep records of all food received and stored as required, verifying proper handling and storage procedures are used.
Support to include off-loading subsistence and supply items, removing delivered items from pallets and storing items per PWS requirements.
Shall operate up to a 2.5-ton reefer truck and up to 10k forklift as needed.
Shall assist the Storeroom and DFAC Supervisors as required to operate food service services 24/7/365.
Comply with all applicable Government and corporate regulations, policies, and procedures: AFI 34-239, Food Service Management Program, AFMAN 34-240, Food Service Program Management, and the Tri-Service Food Code.
Follow HACCP procedures.
Responsible for the maintenance and condition of Vectrus assigned facilities and equipment. Shall submit work orders as needed to replace/repair, track submissions through completion.
Shall issue equipment to guests, track issuance and return per the PWS. Follow procedures for repair/replacement of items.
Shall complete, maintain inventories, and complete necessary documentation.
Shall accomplish special events and complete after-action reports.
Shall provide set up and breakdown of Government furnished equipment such as tables, chairs, music system, ice chests, stages, etc.
Responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, sanitary, healthy, presentable, professional atmosphere, free of dust, clutter and trash in all working facilities and areas.
Responsible for completing all assigned Vectrus and Government required training courses.
Responsible for proper utilization and safeguarding of all government and contractor provided property (e.g., to include government facilities, equipment, and tools).
Responsible for precise execution of company time reporting procedures and accurate completion of timesheet
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Education/Certifications: One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education if degree is required.
Must have a High School diploma or equivalent
Must be certified to drive a 2.5-ton reefer truck and up to 10K forklift.
Must have and maintain a current Serve-Safe certification (Within 3 years).
Must have a current, valid U. S. Passport and U. S. or Local Driver’s License.
Must have and maintain a valid U. S. SECRET or Interim Secret Security Clearance prior to deployment.
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently.
Must be able to pass employment and deployment qualification requirements that include psychological, medical, dental, drug testing, background checks, etc.
Candidates must successfully complete both online and hands on CBRN (chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear) defense training. Training includes the successful fit testing of DoD provided protective gear.
Experience:
A minimum (of 3) years working in multiple Air Force Services operations such as food, recreation and/or lodging. Must have experience in food service warehousing and storage procedures of perishable and non-perishable subsistence and shall be familiar with manual and automated supply accounting systems, policies, and procedures.
Skills:
Must be knowledgeable in Tri-Service Food Code, AFMAN 34-240, Food Service Program Management Armed Forces Recipe System, inventory control, HACCP, and the U.S Department of Health and Human Services Food Code standards.
Thorough understanding of quality customer food service and preparation of nutritional meals.
Must be able to work under pressure in austere environment.
Must be proficient on a computer using Microsoft Office applications.
Must be able and willing to learn new things.
Service oriented.
Working Environment:
Work will be inside and outside. Exposure to cold, dust, noise, and chemicals may occur. Overtime and shift work may be required depending on contractual needs. Employee must comply with all Federal, State and Local regulations and published Company work rules as well as written instructions. Task specific work environment training will be provided as required. Must be prepared to function in a wartime environment to support U. S. interests. 100% Overseas Assignment.
