Role Objective:
Develop, lead and execute purchasing strategies across the Hospitality Development Company while keeping a constant alignment with the United Development Company Procurement policies to achieve cost savings for all goods and services and running and efficient supply chain.
Work with suppliers to negotiate contracts, purchase required goods, and keep accurate records of transactions, trends, and performance with vendors.
Know-How (for all levels)
Secure products and services at the best possible pricing without compromising on quality or service
Consolidate purchases to achieve maximum economic benefit
Forge close relationships with Head of Departments, Management and Directors across the restaurants and support office
Liaise between suppliers and restaurants to ensure their needs are being met
Build and maintain good relationships with new and existing suppliers
Maintain a s Supplies quality Assurance log in order to rate each supplier of their Quality and service
· Responsible for liaising with the “buyers” and communicating with suppliers to ensure contractual requirements are maintained.
Negotiate and agree contracts, monitoring the quality of service and product provided
Manage relationships with HDC suppliers and report on their performance Produce reports and statistics on spending and saving, and top 20 ingredients history tracker
Issue expired report for each remote storage ensuring the stock is use and never wasted
Drive consumptions plans near expiry to prevent wastage from the remote stock holding areas
Build the demand planning for all international products
Coordinate with the operations the demand however be the custodian of the quantities ordered preventing wastage and shortage
Develop a dynamic main suppliers quality report and manage all communication with the vendors
Consolidate as much as possible the ingredients and categories
Ensure the companies purchasing systems are up to date with products and pricing to facilitate its smooth operation at restaurant level
Train and supervise the work of other members of Buying HDC staff
Source the best products at best value.
Coordinate with UDC OP department for the administration of HDC procurements to ensure compliance of policies.
Comply with ISO Certification processes.
Problem Solving (If any)
Know fast moving supplies and have back up plan in case a of failed delivery or incident
Have back up suppliers in case of non compliance of any .
Ensure approved product list for each of the brands area respected
Accountability
Develop and implement strategies for purchasing areas aligned with the HDC food and beverage objectives in line with UDC OPs.
Support the dining experience by maintaining supplies for food and beverage service.
Obtain competitive quotations for requirements and ensure that the best product is sourced and purchased, using nominated suppliers where applicable
Ensure that the items needed meet all culinary requirements of HDC as well as progress any quality and control objectives that are established.
Compare proposals from multiple vendors offering the same product to improve quality
Confirm product meets the specifications provided by the Food and Beverage HDC operations teams.
Minimize shortages and disruptions.
Create a real-time system that highlights quality issues occurring within the supply chain and mitigate them before they occur.
Responsible for maintaining the purchasing best practice to allow HDC to better understand the supply chain and improve performance
Prepare the month end accounts reports in an accurate and timely manner
Focal point for any purchasing query and issues
Establish a strategy to improve the metrics of product quality and cost effectiveness while maintaining supply during a rapid growth phase.
Support the migration of our current producer base to implement better sustainability practices as quality and cost feasible.
Support any food safety risk assessments, vendor standards, or recalls.
Monitor inbound logistics to the first receiver to optimize inventory and supply.
Manage the database of active local contracts with suppliers
Adhere to quality procedures and standards of HDC and oversee purchasing administration such that all HDC policies and standards are upheld
Ensure a comprehensive backup for locating and reconciling purchase orders
Execute on tasks/requests as instructed by HDC Management
Manage remote central storage
General Responsibilities
Aware of the QHSE Management System.
Understand the importance of conformance to the QHSE Policy and procedures and to the requirements of QHSE management system.
Aware of the Customer Requirements (where relevant).
Aware of the Significant Environmental Aspects and Occupational Hazards / risk in this area of operation.
Aware of potential or actual Consequences of his/her work activities and deviation from specified Operating Procedures.
Aware of current Objectives and Targets in this area and what is the current status.

Aware of Security Requirements, sexual exploitation and abuse or gender based violence.
المهارات
Bachelor’s degree in procurement or a related field
5 years relevant experience as a purchaser/procurement within hospitality or related industry.
Behavioral Competencies
· Ability to maintain HDC’s standards, policies and procedures with all outlet personnel.
· Good time management and organization skills
· Ability to prioritize and organize tasks and works.
· Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy.

· Ability to taste and evaluate food and beverage products
· Ability to be flexible with schedule and able to work different shifts
· Certification of previous training in food service.
Computer literate, with good MS Excel skills
