Job Purpose:
Responsible for a strategic procurement activities covering different categories of purchasing, continuous sourcing of vendors with the aim of increasing revenue and ensure inventory optimization.
Responsible for the overall procurement and warehousing process
Review existing contracts with suppliers and vendors to ensure continuous feasibility
Forecast price and monitor market trends
Negotiates cost and close deals with new supplier in the most optimum terms
Propose strategies to reduce costs and improve procedures in parts supply chain logistics.
Promote a culture of cost-effective procurement
Ensure an enhanced parts ordering analysis, enabling to maintain fast moving inventory
Seek and develop partnership/ or business relationship with suppliers
Generate more benefit in maintaining existing suppliers through supplier relationship management
Enhance the procurement talents in accordance with the changing business needs.
Manages inventory tracking system
Evaluates deliveries, shipments and item movement, to improve inventory control procedure.
Prepares reports relative to procurement and warehousing
Responsible in maintaining an organize storage facility with a team of knowledgeable staff.
Attends business meetings
Reports on inventory levels, supply chain progress, procedural efficiency to upper management
Responsible for the development of procurement and warehouse staff , constantly communicates with the team, address personal issues, with an aim of achieving common goals
Manages the recruitment and training of new inventory employees
Responsible for the achievement of team objectives
Maintain effective communication channels with all departments related to parts procurement.
Accountable to achieve GM Standards and Objectives
Ensures operations within the limit of Qatari Law and the company policies, systems and procedures

Preferred Education:
University Graduate with degree in Supply Chain Management, logistics or business Administration Preferred Experience:
Experience in General Motors parts procurement and warehousing is a must
At least 8 years experience in managerial position in procurement of automotive spare parts, preferably in American brands
With excellent experience in vendor management
Good experience in using supply chain management software and tools, particularly Oracle – Enterprise Planning and familiar with GM Parts Catalogue
Preferred Qualification:
Good in English, ability to speak in Arabic is an advantage
With commercial and business awareness
Excellent interpersonal skills
Preferred Skills:
Good negotiation skills
Ability to gather and analyze data and to work with figures
Solid judgment in making decisions
Strong leadership capabilities
Proficiency in MS Office, ERP
Excellent management skills
