For major consulting offices in the Sultanate of Oman, the following specializations are required :
1 . Resident Engineer ( Code 001)
Qualifications : B.Sc. Engineering
Experience : 15 years in increasingly responsible positions
The experience shall include at least 5 years in the field of design, construction and
contracts management of water distribution networks projects. Past experience shall
include successfully completing a previous position as Resident Engineer on at least
two (2) Project of similar nature and scope of work.
2 . Civil Site Engineer - Civil / Pipeline (2) ( Code 002)
Qualifications : B.Sc. Civil Engineering
Experience : 10 years in increasingly responsible positions
The experience shall include at least 5years in the field of construction of water
distribution networks with particular experience in the construction of HDPE
pipelines.
3 . Civil Site Engineer - Structures / Reservoirs ( Code 003)
Qualifications : B.Sc. Civil Engineering
Experience : 10 years in increasingly responsible positions
The experience shall include at least 5years in the field of construction of watet
distribution networks with particular experience in the construction of industrial
structure & RC Reservoirs.
4 . Site Engineer (Mechanical) ( Code 004)
Qualifications : B.Sc. Mechanical Engineering
Experience : 10 years in increasingly responsible positions, The
. experience shall include works of similar nature and scope of work.
5 . Site Engineer (Electrical) ( Code 005)
Qualifications : B.Sc. Electrical Engineering
Experience : 10 years in increasingly responsible
positions. The experience shall include works of similar nature and scope of work.
6 . Instrumentation / SCADA Engineer ( Code 006)
Qualifications : B.Sc. in electrical / instrumentation Engineering
Experience : 10 years in increasingly responsible positions
. The experience shall include works of similar nature and scope of work
7. Site Inspector (Pipeline) ( Code 007)
Qualifications : Diploma (8yrs) or B.Sc. (5yrs) Civil Engineering
Experience : 5years
The experience shall include at least 3 years in the construction water distribution
networks projects with particular experience in the construction of HDPE pipelines
and structures..
8 . Site Inspector - Civil/Structures ( Code 008)
Qualifications : Diploma (8 years exp.) OR B.Sc. Civil Engineering.
Experience : (5 years exp)
The experience shall be in the field of similar nature projects and preferably a
previous position as Site Inspector on at least one water project.
9 . Site Inspector – Mechanical ( Code 009)
Qualifications : Diploma (8 years exp.) or B.Sc. Mech. Engineering
Experience : (5 years exp)
The experience shall be in the field of similar nature projects and preferably a
previous position as Site Inspector on at least one water project.
10. Site Inspector – Electrical ( Code 010)
Qualifications : Diploma (8 years exp.) or B.Sc. Electrical
Engineering
Experience : (5 years exp)
The experience shall be in the field of similar nature projects and preferably a
previous position as Site Inspector on at least one water project.
11 . Quantity Surveyor ( Code 011)
Qualifications : Diploma in Quantity Survey
Experience : 5 years in increasingly responsible positions
The experience shall include works related to water projects
12.HSE Engineer ( Code 012)
Qualifications : Bachelors in HSE / Engineering
Experience : 5years as project HSE staff or execution site staff in
any 2 water sector or pipeline or construction
projects.
Or Omani HSE Engineer
Diploma or Bachelors in HSE / Engineering : Qualifications
Experience : 3years if Diploma or 5 years if Bachelor as
HSE staff or execution site staff in any 2 water
sector or pipeline or construction projects
13 . QA / QC Engineer ( Code 013)
.Qualifications : Bachelors in Civil / Mechanical Engineering
Experience : 5years as project QAlQC staff or execution
site staff in any 2 water sector or pipeline or
construction projects.
