SAMS is looking for a full-time “Medical Liaison Coordinator” position to join the Operation team. This position is responsible for a range of functions to ensure that our volunteers and partners are continuously connected. The Coordinator is responsible for communication between partners, volunteers, local staff, and individuals.
Key Responsibilities:
• Identify and facilitate opportunities for SAMS US and international volunteers to partner with local Lebanese colleagues to serve the refugees population
• Approach Lebanese medical institutions to introduce SAMS missions and explore the potential for agreements to utilize the facilities to provide intervention/surgical procedures for refugees’ population
• Help academically oriented SAMS volunteers share their expertise in teaching hospitals or referral centers i.e. training residents in new medical intervention, or consultation on difficult and challenging cases
• Introduce and begin relationship with SAMS and interested suppliers who can help provide medications and consumables to support SAMS projects and missions as donation or with discounted rate
• Develops and implements specific outreach, relationship building, and marketing plans to meet goals, in collaboration with management and team
• Help to identify partners that can support our advocacy for innovative ways to provide care to refugees using the expertise among the refugee communities and organization like SAMS
• Support the medical programs officer in his/her work and representation engagements
Qualifications/Requirements:
• Associates Degree in an appropriate field required
• 2-3 years’ of experience required
• Knowledge of medicine and abilities to discuss healthcare as applicable to SAMS
• Advanced PC skills; including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other software
• English fluency required
