Drafting and negotiating pharmaceutical, and medical device related commercial contracts (e.g. supply, manufacturing, distribution)
Negotiating with counterparties, such as pharmaceutical organizations, hospitals, clinics and medical institutions.
Providing legal advice for a wide range of regulatory matters, including product promotional activities and product pricing.
Working with and advising business, as well as providing guidance and practical solutions.
Identifying and coordinating legal advice for related life sciences issues, such as data privacy, ethics and compliance, product liability and litigation, anti-bribery and corruption, and intellectual property laws
Designing and implementing policies pertaining to a variety of regulations, including, but not limited to, Fraud, Abuse and Anti Money Laundering and Anti Bribery,
Partnering closely with other legal team members to provide efficient and integrated legal advice to business units,
Monitoring and evaluating regulatory developments from government authoroties, and advisory bodies and industry trends to determine needed changes and to develop proactive approaches to emerging industry issues.
Assist in regulatory legal due diligence in connection with M&A;activities.
Collaborate with sales, marketing, finance, and other departments to develop and refine regulatory and legal contract terms and implement various corporate policies, initiatives and/or programs.
Support corporate compliance through the development and implementation of policies and procedures, as well as trainings of sales, marketing, legal, field finance and other personnel on regulatory matters and other relevant topics.
المهارات
Bachelor’s degree in Law, preferably English Section.
5+ years’ experience at a pharmaceutical, medical device or other life sciences company, or the in-house legal department of a leading healthcare company; significant in-house experience a strong plus, especially within a publicly-listed company.
Comprehensive knowledge of methods and techniques of legal research and the use of statutes, codes and other legal resources as well as skill in extracting and utilizing information from statutes, court decision, legal documents, policies and related records.
Fluent in English and Arabic
Skill in writing complex legal documents/reports.
Experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating a variety of commercial contracts, including but not limited to: vendor agreements, licensing agreements, master service agreements, clinical trial/supply agreements, safety data exchange agreements, laboratory services agreements, consulting agreements, manufacturing agreements, and indemnity agreements, Master Technical Agreements, confidential disclosure agreement (CDA).
Experience providing legal advice for a wide range of regulatory matters, including, but not limited to marketing (advertising, promotion, labelling) and sitting on a promotional board.
Experience in Pharmaceutical industry commercial agreements and provide advice on impact of proposed legislation and reporting requirements (KW and GCC) and other regulatory matters.
Prior in-house experience preferred
Strong business acumen, and understanding of strategic and tactical business issues.
Ability to work and problem-solve independently, as well as collaboratively, as part of a team in a matrixed organization
Collaborate closely with other members of the Legal, Regulatory Affairs, Compliance, Clinical, Office of Medical Affairs, Marketing, and Quality teams
