Responsibilities:
Performing planning, designing, installing, testing, integrating, commissioning and preventive/corrective maintenance of Network devices to maintain Service Levels
Responsible for IP networking and Transmission network
Maximize network performance by monitoring performance, troubleshooting network problems and outages, scheduling upgrades, and collaborating with network architects on network optimization
Secure network systems by establishing and enforcing policies, and defining and monitoring access
Support and administer firewall environments in line with IT security policy
Report network operational status by gathering and prioritizing information and managing projects
Must be capable of planning work at Site and preparing maintenance records, reports and letters
Upgrade data network equipment to the latest stable firmware releases
Configure routing and switching equipment, IP voice services and firewalls
Operate and maintain the IP network delivering IP data, voice, and video
Ensure IP network support of new and existing services and features
Offer engineering solutions based on a thorough understanding of Data Network architecture, topology, and other configuration details
Escalate problems quickly with thorough troubleshooting of all IP network issues
Maintain a record of engineering solutions, such as detailed engineering requirements, detailed reference design, and detailed integration test plan documents
المهارات
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor Degree in Computer/Electronics/Electrical /Telecommunications Engineering.
Minimum of Six (6) years of overall experience in IP Networks
Hands-on experience in the operation and maintenance of IP networks
Experience in Design Planning, Monitoring, configuring, commissioning, operating, and troubleshooting of Network devices (Switches, Router, Firewall)
Cisco certifications, minimum CCNP. CCIE is a plus
Knowledge of Firewall principles, able to work with well know firewalls (ASA, Paloalto, Fortigate…etc.)
Knowledge on MPLS, BGP, OSPF protocols, Firewall rules and best practices
Fluent written and spoken English skills. The Arabic skills will be Plus
Good communication skills and team work oriented
