Role
We are looking for a Procurement Specialist to join our team and help manage DSV Kuwait’s procurement needs.
The Procurement will take on the role of researching new suppliers, ensuring that all purchased products and materials meet DSV’s specifications, and negotiating with vendors as needed.
Your Responsibilities
Analyze industry and demand trends in order to support senior management with the development and implementation of sourcing strategies
Identify new suppliers that meet guidelines and provide superior service to the organization
Strive to obtain lowest total cost on procured materials and best terms considering the quality and warranty
Prepare proposals, request quotes and negotiate purchase terms and conditions
Prepare and issue purchase orders and agreements
Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues and concerns
Inspect and evaluate the quality of purchased items and resolve shortcomings
Timely and complete processing of any PRs issued by end–user and PO.
Maintain Supplier relations

Your Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business administrator/commerce
Minimum 5 years’ experience in procurement
Your Competencies
Proven work experience as a Procurement Specialist or similar role
Good working knowledge of purchasing strategies
Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and with business application software, purchasing and resource planning systems
