BASIC FUNCTION AND SCOPE:
To work in conjunction with the Category Manager in evaluating and executing the category plans set.
Work closely with cross-functional teams including vendors, wholesale, merchandising, marketing, retail operations and warehouse.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:
Develop the Range Plan for specific departments of responsibility along with the category manager.
Support the Category Manager and Trading team in driving sales and controlling costs to ensure department/ store profit targets are met.
Sourcing and building relations with suppliers.
Analyze past sales patterns to anticipate trends in consumer buying patterns.
Evaluate Cost and selling prices, shipping & handling charges and make any necessary recommendations and changes. Update and resolve any shipment issues.
Work collectively with Merchandising to ensure estimates and trends are accurate and within category and company budget targets. Also feature brands, promotions, events, and new product launches. Agree seasonal stock targets.
Work collectively with the ecommerce team to feature new brands, product launches, and promotions.
Work collectively with Wholesale divisions to evaluate trends and product requirements.
Work collaboratively with Marketing, PR & social media to create promotions/strategies that generate category revenue from key customer segments.
Issue demo list/exclusive list/ new arrival list/marketing calendar to relevant departments.
Prepares and presents for Weekly Review meeting with CM
Visit retail stores and make proposals for improvements.
Recommend clearance sales to Merchandising and varying delivery schedules to help control stock levels
Ensure all products are accurately set up in ERP system, and the data accuracy in ecommerce platform
Conduct product training in retail stores whenever required.
Participate in quarterly Business Review and Category Assessment meetings.
Manage day-to-day activities of Buying Assistant.
Maintain a strategic professional working relationship with team and all key departments
Be a lead Ambassador of Fantasy World at all times.
