Summary
HVAC Engineer II is a professional who will be engaged in providing specialized engineering tasks related to heating, ventilation, and air conditioning as per approved project specifications while working closely with another discipline.
Responsibilities
Develop thermal load computations and analysis models, flow models, as required for the design of facility systems
Design and prepare smoke and pressurization calculations based on the project’s approved HVAC system
Create air balance calculations for an optimum HVAC system that will ensure consistent air conditioning outputs
Create and submit a detailed bill of quantity for construction or extraction projects in accordance with set deadlines
Research appropriate HVAC mechanical equipment as per the client’s requirements.
Communicate directly with other disciplines if necessary to understand project requirements, goals, design specifications, and operational environments
To design the HVAC system as per the requirements mentioned in the proposal through various stages like designing, fabricating, and testing
Facilitate the compliance of all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls across the areas of activity to help guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance and delivery of high-quality products/services and a reliable environmental attitude.
Qualification
7-12 years of HVAC design experience
Knowledge of using HVAC software ( HAP, Trace software)
LEED background
Knowledge of local and international codes and standards
Certifications
Kuwait Society of Engineers (KSE) membership
With LEED certification, Desired

Professional Experience
Experience in handling multiple projects simultaneously in a similar environment.
Working knowledge of MS Office. Cad, Revit software.
Possess regional experience in the design of HVAC works.
Previous experience shall include the design of HVAC works for Mega Projects of different categories such as Mixed Use Development, Educational buildings, Health Care, Hotel, Sports Facilities, Neighborhoods, High Rise buildings, etc.
Professional in using HAP software
Good working knowledge in preparing documents for related Ministry approvals
Excellent command of the English language
Functional Experience
Proven record of interpersonal skills such as client interaction, he must be a strong team player and shall have the ability to work pleasantly with a diverse workforce.
Track record in multitasking and shall have proven decision-making ability.
Good Internal and external communication skills such as the ability to handle internal project coordination meetings with all disciplines, dealing with authorities, presenting to clients, etc.
Proven track record of the ability to express innovative ideas.
Demonstrated experience in excellent communication skills both verbal and written
