Strategic Business Planning and efficiencies
Support the company to ensure the strategy and tactical department activities are aligned to the business objectives; delivering department initiatives and interventions aligned to corporate goals and organizational vision.
Implement short and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures.
Participate in establishing Department KPIs; follow up on the department performance to achieve the assigned objectives.
Fleet Management
Decide the vehicles to be bought and how they are to be equipped.
Oversee the sale and/or auction of used vehicles as at when due.
Deciding whether to lease or buy vehicles.
Assisting in the recruitment of quality drivers into the fleet.
Developing efficient driver schedules to maximize profits.
Managing drivers so that they adhere to strict schedules.
Make sure that all vehicles are properly registered; carry out inspections on regular basis.
Finding ways to cut costs and maximize profits.
Regularly report expenses and performances of the fleet to the management.
Draw up a budget for the fleet management department and present it to management for further analysis and approval.
Developing strategies for greater fuel efficiency.
Monitor fuel consumption for all vehicles to their respective drivers. This is done to regulate costs/expenses.
Maintaining detailed records for vehicle servicing and inspection.
Make sure vehicles are always ready and available to meet orders by scheduling and monitoring current trends in the industry, to enable forecast.
Comply with State of Kuwait traffic laws and regulations.
Scheduling regular vehicle maintenance to ensure operational efficiency.
Ensuring strict servicing and maintenance times to minimize downtime and maintain schedules.
Take preventive measures to ensure the safety of vehicles and drivers too
Monitoring driver behavior and ensuring a high level of customer service.
Analyzing data to increase business operational efficiency.
Utilizing IVMS system to monitor drivers and track vehicles in case of theft or accident.
Employee Relation
Create a disciplined and motivated work climate across the assigned department.
Create a high-performing work environment for the business.
Facilitate and respond to queries, requests, and issues and provide guidance to internal and external employees and stakeholders.
Administration Process
Evaluate procedures and technology solutions to improve department records/data management and ensure it is maintained in standards for audit.
Source, maintain & develop professional business relations with relevant vendors or service providers.
Maintain files of documents as a backup for estimate figures, including current (accurate) information on unit prices from suppliers.
Team Leadership
Manage and develop the team and provide succession plans for key positions within the team.
Monitor measure and report on department issues, opportunities, development plans, and achievements within agreed formats and timescales
Responsible for the development of team members via cross-training, direct inductions, etc.
Identify gaps within respective business unites

Education: Bachelor’s degree in business management or relevant
Experienced in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, and ERP software to extract and provide job cost analysis, project information and produce related reports
Critical Thinking - Have the ability to analyze data to develop solutions for improvement from a business perspective.
Confidence - Ability to give appropriate challenges to stakeholders.
