Main Purpose of Job:
A sales and marketing manager is responsible for researching and developing marketing opportunities and planning and implementing new sales plans. The sales and marketing manager will also manage both the marketing and the sales staff and will perform managerial duties to meet the company’s operations goals. In addition to brand communication planning, new product development, Monitoring & follow up sales & share progress and achieving the sales budgets.
Job Responsibilities:
Market Research and Analysis:
Build and update market understanding along with latest trends in market shares, consumer, and shopper habits to support business growth.
Conduct store / market checks on aligned frequency and report back key learnings as well as next steps.
Stay up to date on customer expansion plans and provides ideas to be part of store openings.
Brand Communication Planning: Effectively developing marketing messages to target audience:
Develops and executes effective marketing communication plans aligned with the marketing communication strategy.
Recommends ways to apply communications principles practices and tools to colleagues and staff & partners.
Liaises with external agencies and other service providers for the development of communication materials (e.g. printers, creative agencies, media agencies, etc.) if required.
Brand Business Planning Process – Annual Business Development Plan (ABDP), S&OP;Cycle and Business Reviews:
Achieving the set Ex F sales budget, country wise, with in the agreed Trade & Marketing spend.
Establishing the marketing goals and objectives of the brand and identifying the strategy for achieving them. Applies marketing strategy and recommends alternative courses of action.
Translates the marketing strategy into operational plans across the marketing mix including elements of analysis, planning, implementation, and control.
Provides justification for changes to the marketing strategy based on aggregated internal/external data. Facilitates collaboration across functions for specific marketing initiatives.
Lead the annual business development plan coordinating the efforts with his or her regional partners and the operations team to lock in the targets (sales, distribution, coverage), projects, launches, activities, and budget and consolidate in one Master file agreed by all stakeholders. Ensure that all key activities have ROI to deliver a healthy bottom line, while constantly looking for optimization opportunities.
Work with operations team (Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, Merchandising) to ensure that all initiatives and sales numbers are achieved by brand, SKU, channel, and region in accordance with the plan.
Formulate and implement the aligned Channel and customer Jobs to be Done; track and deliver promotional strategy across customers / partners, in line with brand priorities, media plans and promotional strategy.
Identify new opportunities via expansion of portfolio with current Majdi or expanding Majdi via business ventures to actively seek new business partners to capture such opportunities and drive business growth.
Expiry & remnant mitigation plan if any.
SKU optimization to improve productivity
New Product Development (NPD):
NPD launch alignment with all departments. Ensure NPDs readiness and follow-up on the launch execution to be in line with the plan. Flag out any gaps in the launch from samples, Govt authorities or other perspective.
Monitor NPDs against pre-aligned success measures. Flag out any gaps along with remedy plans
For unsuccessful NPDs support in preparing rundown plan with all key stakeholders.
Monitoring & Follow Up:
Action insights from retail audit and OSA report, to tap potential opportunities.
Monitor, evaluate, and approve Trade Marketing programs and activities to measure effectiveness and recommendation of improvements as needed.
Monitor sales & share progress on weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
Issue monthly / quarterly updates/business reviews on progress vs. plan to update the Management and operations team on plans.
Drive awareness throughout the organization, Management, and customers via monthly or quarterly newsletter/meetings/town halls, etc., highlighting the business progress, initiatives, and new ideas.
Analyze of the competitive and customer position in country / region, working together with distributors to develop long-term trade marketing actions and strategies aimed at strengthening the Group’s position in categories across region portfolio.
Budgets/ Financials:
Achieving the set Ex F sales budget, country wise, with in the agreed Trade & Marketing spend.
Region / Marketing group and Channel-wise trade spend allocation based on country wise / Channel Jobs to Be done
Pricing strategy, Maximizing profitability.
Employee duties are not limited only to the above-mentioned accountabilities; he/she may perform other duties as assigned within scope.

Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree / Master degree preferred in business administration, sales management or marketing
Strong analytical, organizational, and creative thinking skills.
Effective communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
Knowledge of data analysis and report writing.
Ability to resolve problems in an efficient manner
A complete understanding of manufacturing processes
Good leadership skills and a desire to work in a team environment
Microsoft Office Suite
Fluency in languages - Arabic and English
Minimum Experience:
7 to 10 years preferably in FMCG field.
