As such we are looking for a Lean Specialist to join the Quality Control & Continuous Improvement department.
The Lean Specialist with Kuwait Steel assists with the implementation of Lean Manufacturing goals and strategies for improving the operations and processes within the organization. They evaluate all continuous improvement activities and implements plans to optimize performance and processes. Being a Lean Manufacturing Specialist they will employ methodologies and tools in order to accomplish business objectives. Duties will include but will not be limited to:
The roll out of lean manufacturing specifically Total Productive Maintenance.
Coaching and training site agents on the effective deployment of TPM strategies.
Driving a continues learning culture across Kuwait Steel.
Coordinate and lead an internal team to do technical writing that will generate the documentation needed for TPM.
Communicates with intra and inter departmental colleagues in all plants and fresh graduate engineers and shares /requests useful information to aid in / expedite the TPM implementation process.
Develop and maintain the TPM Master Plan.
Presenting status in a weekly / monthly basis to the Continuous Improvement Manager and Chief Quality Assurance and Operational Excellence.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Metallurgical, Mechanical, Industrial)
MBA/Master degree is a plus
Lean accreditation/Certification
Six Sigma Green Belt, black belt (preferred)
Preferred Experience:
At least 10 years’ experience in Lean Manufacturing
5 years in leading implementation of Total Productive Maintenance
5 years in a continuous department leading or coordinating implementation of Lean Manufacturing tools
1 to 2 years’ experience with Six Sigma methodology and projects (DMAIC/DMADV)
Job-Specific Skills:
Knowledge and involvement in Total Productive Maintenance Deployment.
Mechanical knowledge of manufacturing plant equipment desired, ideally in heavy industry (Oil, Aluminum, Steel, Auto, Aerospace, Agrofood…etc.)
